Parents beware. DO NOT BOOK with this place. We made reservations from the US months in advance, arranged for a private driver to get us there, and they took our money and then said they didn't have our son's private lesson on the schedule. We traveled from the US for this reservation and they didn't have it. They put my teen son in a group class which was awful since he's a better surfer. Then the instructor left him behind at the beach. The entire group left and they abandoned my son. We had to find him and somewhere to drop off his board and walk him back to the office. Then the manager proceeded to waste our time with Joanna in arguing that they wouldn't give us a refund. My son was SO disappointed. This operation is a lesson in WORST business practices. Go to Blue Ocean at Ericeira World Reserve in Ribeira d'Ilhas and get a top notch experience. Peniche Surf School is UNSAFE and DANGEROUS.

Nous sommes allés au Peniche SurfCamp pour profiter de l'école de surf uniquement.
points positifs : petits groupes répartis par niveau (pas plus de 4 ou 5), brief initial (peu d'école le font), emplacement de l'école, bons conseils dans l'eau, organisation
points négatifs : prof pas sympathique (contrairement aux autres profs) ne semblait pas heureux d'être à l'eau et ne semblait pas heureux non plus de transmettre sa passion (c'est dommage pour une école qui affiche son slogan "Our goal is your smile" sur tous les lycras), pas d'enseignement des priorités au sein du groupe.

Nous avons décidé d'aller pour la 3ème fois au Peniche Surf camp avec 20 élèves d'une école professionnelle de Suisse. Après l'annulation de l'édition de 2020 suite au Covid, nous avons décidé de nous accrocher pour organiser ce surfcamp 2021.
L'organisation a été loin d'être facile mais nous avons été très bien aidé par le booking du surfcamp. Une fois là-bas il s'agissait pratiquement pour les accompagnateurs-trices d'une semaine de vacances grâce à l'excellente organisation du Surfcamp.
Tout a été parfait : Transport Aeroport-Baleal, Accueil, Hébergement, Repas (pension complète), Cours de surf (de qualité et en petit groupe max.6 pers), La présence de Ricardo lors des briefings (Manager) montre qu'il tienne à garder une qualité irréprochable.
Les retours des élèves étaient excellents à part quelques critiques sur les sandwichs de midi mais pour ma part ça allait très bien.
Un immense MERCI à toute l'équipe et rendez-vous à l'année prochaine!

Semaine de surf au top !!
Des spots adaptés et de très bon conseils nous ont permis de bien progresser.

In May of 2020, I made a booking to stay for two weeks for the following month, which included a deposit that was never said to be non refundable. Three days later, the national government of Portugal banned foreigners from coming in, thus I couldn't come.
It should have been an easy experience, with a quick refund, but apparently this surf camp is financially insolvent and claimed to not have the funds to give my money back. Dealing with Ricardo Leopoldo was one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've had. You can tell that he was bullied as a child and has some real issues with socially integrating with society.
After months of trying to get my refund in a civil manner, I filed a credit card chargeback, and they agreed that my money should have been refunded and did so.
Know that if anything goes wrong with your booking with these clowns, They are impossible to deal with, and will make the strongest attempt to steal your money.
Again, I'd made my booking only three days before, and could not come due to a change in government policies that were out of my control. The deposit was said to show my intent and was not supposed to be non refundable. They went into full criminal mode.
Also, if you want to see the maturity level of the owners, check their sarcastic responses to bad reviews on the various review sites. I wish I had beforehand.

Le staff est au top , le spot est magique, mon fils et moi sommes enchantés de cette première expérience de surf.
Notre coach Miguel est exceptionnel , très pédagogue et professionnel, toujours de bonne humeur comme les autres instructeurs d’ailleurs.
Miguel parle Français et Anglais parfaitement.
Je recommande cette école pour les débutants comme pour les confirmés. Il y a possibilité d’être logés au sein de l’école.
Un grand merci à PENICHE surf Camp.

Bereits zum zweiten Mal war ich im Surfcamp Peniche. Es liegt direkt vor dem Meer. Der nächste Strand ist somit über die Felsen in weniger als fünf Minuten zu Fuß zu erreichen. Es findet sich jedes Mal schnell eine Gruppe zusammen und die Stimmung unter den Surfern ist dort wirklich hervorragend!
Ein Supermarkt als Einkaufsmöglichkeit ist gleich nebenan. Dort befindet sich auch ein Café mit sehr günstigem Bier. Surfshops, Bars, Restaurants, Cafés sind fußläufig erreichbar.
Die Betten sind leider steinhart und alle Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Einige Zimmer verfügen über ein eigenes Bad. Muss man das Gemeinschaftsbad nutzen, so kann es gerade nach dem Surfen schon mal zu langen Wartezeiten und somit viel Stress kommen.
Das Camp ist sauber.
Von fünf Surftagen wurde mit den Instructorn vier Mal derselbe Surfspot angefahren. Hier wäre etwas mehr Abwechslung wünschenswert.
Die Instructor sind sehr erfahren und sprechen individuell jedes Problem beim Surfen an. Dass sie jedoch immer wieder wechseln ist nervig.

My daughter wanted to take a last minute surf lesson and we were lucky that they had a spot the next morning. Her instructor was so kind and helpful and knowledgeable. She had a great time and caught some good waves. I highly recommend them.
