We visited on a weekday in early March. The parking lot is not very big, and I imagine that parking can be an issue during summer.
It’s a steep but short walk up to the entry. Be careful if it’s raining: the cobblestone on the pathway up get very slippery. I actually walked on the grass on the way down.
Most of the castle is in ruins. There are several “rooms” you can go in, though. A few lead to dungeon like rooms. To get to the second level, you have to climb up a set of steep and narrow cement spiral stairs. There is a railing. To get up to the top of the tower, you then have to climb more metal spiral stairs. These aren’t as bad as the ones on the way to the second floor. They’re wider and have landings you can rest on, or let people pass.
There’s a museum of sorts in the one building that has been restored; there isn’t much to it. Looks mostly like a dining area people can rent out for events.

Het kasteel van Bourscheid is gebouwd in verschillende delen. De eerste omwalling dateert van 1350. Er werd steeds meer en meer aangebouwd. Het is gedeeltelijk ruïne en gedeeltelijk goed gerestaureerd. Een audiotour is beschikbaar in meerdere talen.

Tolle Sicht und nettes Ambiente. Nicht allzuviele Exponate darin, aber für einen Besuch immer machbar.

Belle nature...mais...les travaux n'ont pas débutés (normalement terminés cet été)...donc le donjon est fermé.seul le musée (maquettes) est visitable, avec petite ronde autour... Ça ne vaut pas 7€! Par contre, la terrasse au-dessus de l'accueil permet de jouir du soleil d'automne...

Worth the visit,very interesting tour with headphones.one of the better locations, better preserved than other castles in Luxemburg.

Het hotel biedt een prachtig zicht op de omgeving. Het geeft ook een goede indruk van hoe het in het verleden moest zijn.

Nous savions que nous allions visiter une ruine... mais avec l"aide de l'audio guide nous avons réussis a nous trasposerdans le chateau ou du moins ce qu'il avait été

Le château de Bourscheid est impressionnant sur photo ou vu de l'extérieur.
La visite avec guide téléchargé sur GSM m'a semblé très (trop) longue et m'a lassé..., et j'ai eu d'énormes difficultés à me projeter dans l'univers médiéval, au vu des ruines qui constituent ce château.
Bref, uniquement pour les amateurs de vieilles pierres.

Hello, how can i get to the castle walking? I mean i read that the Michelau train station is the nearest, but maybe someone can tell me how to get there from Luxembourg!
