Fantastisch museum om te bezoeken waar overzichtelijk het proces van schapenwol tot een geweven stof wordt uitgelegd aan de hand van oude nog werkende apparaten. Bovendien is er een interessante instructiefilm, ook in het Nederlands, die zeer de moeite waard is. Bijzonder is een apparaat waar gedroogde kaardebollen in zitten om wol te kaarden. Het museum is overigens deel van een natuurbezoekerscentrum dat niet veel voorstelt. Ernaast een winkeltje waar je diverse stoffen producten kunt kopen.

Parfait endroit pour se faire une idée sur l'industrie textile de l'époque, très bien détaillé et très complet pour comprendre les différents stades de fabrication.

Out after lockdown with our 'Senior's' Club a small group of us visited this unique little museum in a wonderful picturesque area of Luxembourg. We had a guided tour, in English, which helps you to understand and appreciate the history of this location which was originally a factory producing the cloth for uniforms in wool. These were then put together, sewn and finished by the village women, a real 'Cottage Industry' as it is often called. There is also a shop to browse through before leaving with a wide variety of local products from the 'Upper Our' region National Park where this village is located. Well worth a visit if spending some time in Luxembourg. Easiest access is by car of course though FREE Public Transport is an option but you would have to make a day of it and explore, wine and dine in the village of Esch -sur- Sure, well worth the time indeed. Entrance price €3 for adults, price on request for guided tour if required depends on number of persons I believe!

Heerlijk museum over het weven en maken van stoffen. Zit in een oud fabriekje waar het hele proces te zien is. Personeel heeft alle tijd, zeer klantvriendelijk en het proces een keer compleet te zien (dus van wol tot eindproduct) is uniek. Meestal zie je alleen het weven zelf, hier kun je alles een keer zien en daardoor snap je ook de samenhang, Ruim opgezet, kwalitatief zeer goed.
