Amazing cinema experience, just shows you don’t need a huge screen at a multiplex. Staff are lovely and friendly, as well as being knowledgeable. No massive queues and clean and comfy. Good ranges of drinks and snacks

On a recent visit with some friends to see Wicked Little letters we experienced a town-wide power cut a short way through the film through no fault of the cinema. The situation was dealt with calmly and excellently by a young male employee who offered us complimentary tickets whilst the manager (if that's what you'd call him) stood there doing nothing.
When we returned the following day we were greeted by the same young member of staff who remembered us and welcomed us in, whilst the same manager was wandering around aimlessly.
We are usually incredibly impressed with the friendly and efficient management here but we were left feeling disappointed in the one unhelpful manager we've interacted with.

So nice to visit somewhere different from the ugly concrete multiplex's of today. Came with my husband to watch One Life and thoroughly enjoyed our experience. The staff were welcoming and friendly, especially Jay who served us hot drinks and made our experience pleasurable. Would 100% recommend!

We went back to revisit this great little cinema in Skipton, with it's great staff and fabulous art deco style building.
Upon arrival we was greeted by Mark and Tony, they were very helpful to me and my disabled partner, we went to see the new Kenneth Branagh movie " A HAUNTING IN VENICE " It was a great night and we love the old style cinema, much better than any multiplex. At the end of the film, Mark came over to us and helped my disable partner to the side exit doors and into our car. A first class place with Brilliant staff.

We visited this lovely little cinema on Tuesday 4.04.23. to watch John Wick 4. As my partner is disabled and uses a mobility scooter, the staff were very helpful all through our visit, especially Finn & Ben ( Manager ). They opened the side fire door/exit to help my disabled partner to his seat so he didn't have to struggle with the stairs. While we were their the main foyer/Ticket booth area is like a mini movie museum with props and movie stuff all over the front, as this is the oldest cinema in Skipton ( Built in the 1800's as a tempest hall ). In the 1920's it was converted into the Plaza Cinema and it is a gorgeous old art deco style cinema. When the film ended the manager came and helped us to our car, so once again thank you to Ben & Finn for all your help and we will see you soon, your's Richard & Ernie.

A gem of a cinema. Love the design of this cinema, from the seats to the Art Deco lighting. A great experience in this character Cinema. Reasonably priced entrance fee.

What a fabulous little cinema! A proper night at the pictures, with popcorn, comfy seats, EXCELLENT coffee, and prices to make you smile. The staff, and especially Ben, have a real passion for the place, and it shows. So much better than the expensive, joyless experience at the major chains. Can't wait to go again.

Fantastic gem of a cinema. Nice to see the traditional cinemas still here, rather than the overpriced and souless modern ones. Great value for money and a great cinema experience.

Is there disabled access to Skipton cinema? From the photos, there appears to be a steep flight of steps to the entrance.
