I've been in the centre a few times and been impressed by how much local information is catered for. There is also plenty of info on attractions in the wider Northern Ireland for the tourist. All information is easily accessed, or simply ask for it.

the staff at the tourist information service were very helpful, thank you.
one comment tho about Coleraine itself. I thought it was quite unusual to see all the shops in the pedestrian mall all shuttered up after shops close. It gives the town centre a feeling of drabness and its not an attractive look. you can’t wonder along and window shop, and there were no other pedestrians about around 8pm. it actually made the place feel a bit eerie. i wonder why this has been done, i’ve never seen it anywhere else.

With regards to the shutters on the shop windows I can only assume the shutters are an extra security measure, however I take on board your comments about being unable to window shop and will pass these along to my colleagues who regularly liaise with the Business Community in Coleraine Town Centre.

The lady went out of her way to ensure we had as many places to visit as we could manage in the week we had at our disposal. She made our trip so much more worthwhile with her knowledge of what to see and what to avoid. Great Irish welcome and hospitality. This place is well worth 20 minutes of your time in the preparation of your trip.

Paid 20p for a map that was tiny and poor list of places to visit. Church which we tried to visit was closed at the time and we were not told of this. I just think that Coleraine town is not geared for tourists. One way system of traffic and inadequate signage means you add 10 minutes to your drive each time you miss the tourist attraction you wish to see - even with Google maps! Very strange..

Thank-you for your review, sorry to hear that Coleraine did not meet your expectations.
We do have various types of free maps and literature although it has been decided to charge the small fee of 20p for our town maps as we did not have the budget to re-print. All of our literature including the map is available to download free of charge from our website. I can only assume that you are referring to St Patrick's Church, unfortunately it does not have formal opening hours and usually visitors are happy to view its exterior but certainly I will ask staff to ensure they advise visitors of this when explaining the town map. We certainly feel that Coleraine has a lot to offer the visitor including beautiful parks, historic buildings and excellent shopping and dining opportunities. I will pass along your comments reference signage to relevant colleagues. We hope this experience does not stop you returning the area.

Stopped here to get details of The Sculpture Trail. Staff were very helpful and informative. The centre has a good exhibition of the local area and lots of useful literature

Stopped by the visitor center and got a ton of great materials on places the stay. They were really helpful and gave us guides to the entire area.

I went here with my grandchildren looking for information for both Canadian and American visitors. The staff were very friendly and helpful and supplied me with useful maps and guides. I also liked the range of gifts which were on sale.
