The first impression is the massive lake in the middle, it's really serene out in this park, there are other nooks and areas to use too, and lots of park benches to sit on.

Schöner, gut erreichbarer Park mit vielen verschiedenen Möglichkeiten.
Das zentral gelegene Café ist ausreichend sortiert.
Hier gibt es Möglichkeiten für große, kleine Kinder, als auch für die Erwachsenen.

It is a lovely park with a lake. Lovely to see all the birds and their babies. They have a model boat club interesting to watch. Plenty of seats. A lovely small cafe. Tennis courts. anf childrens play area. you can walk through at the end to Small brook that goes along by the river lovely walk

The Smallbrook Meadows website states that it is wheelchair friendly, but it has 5 gates, none of which can be opened from a wheelchair or mobility scooter, and if you are able to get off your wheelchair or mobility scooter to open the gates you therefore have to do this twenty times if going both ways (opening and closing) and carry something with you to hold the gates open while you go through. This is despite a total lack of need of any of the gates for most of the year because livestock are rarely in this area and British Standard BS5709-2018 stating that gates must be least restrictive and good practice being recognised that gates are secured open, or removed, when livestock aren't present. If the small section of the meadows that the footpath runs through was secured with double gates from the rest (as it is with a kissing gate near the park), at present its just a single gate, the only time that the gates along the path need be closed is when livestock are present. Alternatively if the pasture along the footpath were turned to woodland (an extension of the existing adjacent woodland) there wood be no need for gates at all. Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will no doubt say that the gates have been improved from kissing gates that existed before (through which no mobility scooter could pass) but this is only a minor improvement for disabled people who can get on and off their wheelchairs and mobility scooters 20 times without harm, nothing like the improvement to zero gates that could easily be achieved if disabled people were really welcome, as the Equality Act 2010 requires.

Paddling pool,used to be great.But non existent now.
Boating lake, used to be great.No boats now.
Putting green, shut at 4pm
Children soon got fed up with the playground equipment.
Pavilion tea room okay.
Don’t think I’ll be returning.

Came here with young family , lots for them to do play equipment for little ones, then for older kids , skate park and adult exercise eqip . And lovely lake to walk around .

Arrive at magpie 1 early 1.30pm, all clean and very impressed with how clean it was after reading some reviews. Read welcome pack, phone on site restaurant to be told you can only book until 4pm ? Lucky we had an earlybook-in, so rushed of to local Morrison’s for some tea. And the restaurant don’t open on a Monday, this should be made clear on booking.
Hot tub shabby - outside could do with a good clear up - cabin outside the largish pond wouldn’t say it’s a lake.
And no Wi-Fi code in welcome pack ?

Really impressed with this park. Lots of play equipment catering to different ages, a skate park (with different ages and groups happily sharing) and a lake with ducks, geese and swans.
Lots of benches and the park wasn’t too busy so easy to socially distance. Cafe was open for takeaway drinks, cakes and ice cream. Putting closed.
Easy to park on the main road by Morrison’s.

Wandered through the park at the weekend, lovely to see it full of families, in the paddling pool, playing tennis, picnics and boats on the lake. The skate park will add another attraction. Paths clear and flowerbeds lovely - and walking through to the wildlife area at the top was very peaceful. A credit to the local Town Council who now manage it

We walked around this park. It has a lovely boating lake, a pitch and putt. A cafe offering the usual tea, coffee and cakes etc. A few places for children to play and some water features. The flowers were colourful and the gardens very well cared for.
