Asal Longhouse ist das älteste und längste in Bario.
Jane ist eine sehr gute Gastgeberin und Köchin. Die Zutaten sind alle direkt vom Garten oder und organisch.
Bario Longhouse ist ein guter Ausgangspunkt zum Prayer Mountain und anderen Wanderrouten.
Ich bin 3 Nächte geblieben und hatte eine wunderbare Zeit. Nächstes mal würde ich länger bleiben und ein Trecking unternehmen.

El hostal está muy bien, es muy tranquilo , perfecto para desconectar y relajarse del estrés de la ciudad.
Desde la Longhouse puede hacer muchas rutas de senderismo de todos los niveles.
Jean, la propietaria, es muy amable y atenta. La comida MUY BUENA !!!!

So special to be staying in an old and original longhouse in Sarawak. The area of Bario os truely wonderful. We enjoyed our three days here at this amazing longhouse.Jane cared for us very well and the food was based on the local produce- great experience.

This is a homestay in a native communal longhouse. My host Jane treated me as if I was family with three homemade meals each day! Had to opportunity to socialise with other families in the longhouse in the evening. What a friendly place where stangers will stop to waive or say hello without fail!

Enjoyed every moment at Bario up to its bits (although our internet access was limited). We spent most of our time with the community as they are very friendly and hospitable

Walk down from Ngimat Ayu Homestay for 10 minutes you can find Bario Asal Longhouse!
Met by Uncle Panai who brought us for a tour and introduction to all the past and present famous people who were and are from the long house.
The tour began with the kitchen with the fantastic fire place for either cook or just to warm oneself on a cold night, and ended on the ceremonial corridor, where you find photos of the founders and famous people that came from Bario Asal! Should not miss this chance will in Bario and a must thing to do.

Bario Asal is a very rustic longhouse with many quaint nooks and corners. There is a very quaint old fireplace in the central long verandah where kettles of water are boiled , and rows of old fascinating photographs of families hang on the walls of the longhouse. An experience visiting it and well worth the visit.
