We spent a fabulous hour and a half with Ziggy today making candles with our two daughters, 7 and 9. Ziggy is a really calm, friendly, fun teacher and we came away with 4 candles each. He even gave my daughter a present of a candle when one of hers didn't work out the way she wanted. It was so much fun, I would highly recommend this for a rainy day or any day. Ring in advance to book but the day before would probably be fine. Great value and it all happens at his really beautiful cottage farm a walk away from the village of Sneem.

This year Blueberry Farm are unable to do their usual interactive farm tours due to covid restrictions but are instead offering candle making workshops. We (family of 4) visited on Thur. 24th June and enjoyed a lovely afternoon making some wonderful candle creations. No mixing of groups so quite safe and suitable for all the family. . . . . adults and children alike!!

Worst farm i have ever been to. Staff is abrasive and loud. the bathroom is disgusting and always occupied by the staff

I’m sorry to here you had a bad experience but I’m not sure if you are commenting on the correct page,. We only had 3 families taking a tour all November which all went very well. , We’ve never had staff, as it is always Yvonne or myself personally running the tours. Therefor a bathroom cannot be occupied by staff all the time, and I hope ours has never been disgusting.

Be prepared to watch dogs herding sheep, feed lambs, see sheep shearing (maybe even do some of it yourself, my son did!), visit a bog. It's a wonderful place

We have visited many farms but this it totally in a league of its own. It was so hands on the kids got to interact with all the animals. Even though it was raining it didn’t impact on the experience at all. We all (2 adults, 2 kids) has an amazing time. If your in sneem this is a must for a day out. Ziggy was a brilliant tour guide and was super with the kids. We can’t wait to go back again .

Wonderful family experience. I have never seen a farm exp like this one. Very natural unique approach. Extremely happy animals who are loved and looked after. Care and time taken very interesting tour. You are not rushed. Very relaxed. Great day out for all.

Highly recommend this place. Yvonne and Ziggy make such an effort with the kids. My son enjoyed it so much he was heartbroken to leave! The kids get to milk a cow, sit on the cow, feed the baby pigs, goats, sheep, geese and rabbits.
The tour was finished off with candle making - a great souvenir to remember our great visit!
Will be definitely be back!

Yvonne and Sigi are wonderful people from the email before coming to the phone call a few days before to book (try book a week in advance) to the day itself
They made a point of learning all the children names (we had children of 2,4,6,8 and 10) and using the names throughout the morning and making sure to involve everyone noting any children especially shy
When asked they noted they have been doing the tours 9 years, they have everything perfected from a range of wellies to ponchos produced as soon as the rain came out, thankfully for only a brief spell.
I can't recommend the tour highly enough.

Der Tag auf der blueberry farm war an einem sehr regnerischen Tag. Dies spielte keine Rolle obwohl wir die Hälfte der Zeit draußen waren. Den Kindern hat es super gefallen, und auch den Erwachsenen! Kühe melken, Ziegen, Schweine und Enten füttern und am Schluss die Kaninchen streicheln. Es war super und unsere Kinder wollten an nächsten Tag gleich noch einmal! Die selbstgebackenen scones waren sehr lecker. Die Abwechslung mit den Aktivitäten war sehr gut! Man fühlt sich sehr willkommen! Danke !

The five star reviews are 100% accurate. We have just returned from a trip to Blueberry Hill Farm with a 6, 4 and 2 year old - a great time was had by all, adults included! This really is worth a visit - from feeding the pigs, goats, ducks, rabbits and geese, grooming the cow, taking goats for a walk, to fab candle making, which was suitable for all ages. Thank you to our excellent hosts, Yvonne and Siggi - highly recommended!

This sounds so interesting! I just want to know if this would be good for a 11 or 14 as well as a 7 and 9 year old? And should we book ahead?
We went there with an 11 year old and two eight year olds. We saw children as young as four and as old as 13. It may be less interesting for the older children; but kids of all ages and adults enjoyed the scones and tea at the end. You have to book ahead and can't just walk on.

Well i'm sold. I would love to come visit the farm! But I wont be in that area till December 21st and Im leaving the 26th? Is it open at all durning that time frame? Im happy to book ahead.
