The museum is quite tiny and entirely run by volunteers. While it is evident that their budget is limited, it certainly offers interesting history about the local area. Furthermore, the museum is just about 5 minutes from the train station, making it an absolute must see if you are nearby. There are some genuinely interesting items on display, along with explanations and descriptions.

Lovley quaint museum in a coverted church,a walk down memory lane of cobh through the years.a small bit of artifacts and information on the titanic, and luisatania.curator was very friendly and full of information.really enjoyed it,well worth a visit

After walking up steep steps to get to the museum we had a very rude man that literally spoke 2 words and stared. Made us feel very uncomfortable.

Tiny and quaint museum on the hill. It used to be a Presbyterian church that is converted to house some of Cobh's historical artifacts. The building which has a gothic spire is lovely and so is the interior where one can see timber beams, tile floors, stained glass and other original materials. One can also see the old pulpit, organ and other church stuffs inside.
The contents of the museum are small but interesting especially if you are interested on the Lusitania tragedy. It also has rich local and maritime exhibits which are both permanent and revolving. Some visitors come here to research on their Irish genealogy, which makes this place an invaluable resource for those tracing their ancestry from Cobh.

Olhando meio de longe, mais parece uma pequena e bonita igreja, quando na verdade é um museu da cidade. Sua construção teve início em 1853 e seu estilo é neogótico. Não foi possível visitá-la porque estava fechada.

This museum was right on the wharf of Cobb pronounced Cove. We knew all about the Titanic and the potato famine etc but thought we’d give it a try. Fantastic! A must see! We were looking for some genealogy and there was a man at a desk for questions! Wow we were so impressed. He told us how the farmers in Ireland were hired as sailors in the 1700s and went to Newfoundland as fishermen. Some settled there and that’s probably how my husbands ancestors got to the Avalon Peninsula! He even printed us off some information and told us of a book. Just as an aside, when the ship pulled out a band played, people in costume danced and a few hundred people came out to wave! I love Ireland. What great people!

We went with friends who had an interest in the Lucitania and discovered a lot about it there, including the passenger list.

This tiny museum in a quaint former church is packed with exhibits focused primarily on the Lusitania. A great way to spend a little less than an hour.
