‪Wir waren zuerst im einigen Minuten entfernten Bamboo Park ( keine Empfehlung ) und haben uns zum Glück dazu entschieden den Besuch abzubrechen und in den Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve zu fahren! Wir sind den Esknamucky Walk gewandert und es hat sich wirklich gelohnt!‬

‪paid a visit while staying in bantry.nice waterfall area but the best part was lady bantrys lookout.it is about a 30 minute walk up,but plenty of stone steps so its not too bad,but it is so worthwhile because the views are stunning.it reminds you what a beautiful country we live in‬

‪There are many walks in the Reserve. They are easy walks which can be short or long depending on how long to want to spend. It is a great way to take time out and enjoy what nature has to offer a must visit. ‬

‪I have completed all the walks here and can say they are excellent.. Well Marked and the dog also loved it and enjoyed swims in the river ‬

‪Dog walks‬

‪We stayed in the area for a week & almost every morning we walked the dog around the nature reserve. The place is fantastic well sign posted on each of the three main walks. There's differing difficulty & distance but the place is well managed & so picturesque. Course it's a dogs playground no traffic & a river to cool off in afterwards ‬

‪Lady Bantry’s Lookout‬

‪We made a brief stop here to hike Lady Bantry’s Lookout, a fairly easy trail that’s about 1 km each way with about 262 ft. of incline. The trail was well-signed and easy to find. It started out as wide dirt path, crossed a road and then turned into a staircase. At the top, we were rewarded with views of Bantry Bay and Garinish Island. Overall it was a nice break on our long drive. There looked to be several other lovely hikes to take here, with free entry and parking but no restrooms.‬

‪We visited on a busy Sunday afternoon, so decided to do the Esnamucky trail to beat the crowds. Lovely walk up some very steep steps with splendid views. Seemed longer than the advertised 2.8km!‬

‪Glengarriff Woods Nature Reserve‬

‪The high point must be Lady's Bantry's Look Out ,the climb up tis steep, the views from the top there are fantastic from Glengarriff to Garinish Island, Whiddy Island and Bantry Bay.‬
