Silver lakes system including 5-7 lakes, depends which trail you do - Samegrelo (5) or Samegrelo-Svaneti (7).
It is undescribable journey in the Alpine zone meadows, lakes, tropical forests, waterfalls and breathtaking lakes.
Best period is 15 July - 30 September. I advise you to start in vil. Mukhuri with the car till the trekking trail beginning and do circle route to Skuri gorge. It will take you to the one of the memorable trips of you life ^^
Spend at least one night at the first lake - Okhoje and after the biggest one - Tsashkibulish Tobavarchkhil follow the trail which takes you to the local Shepard's shelter - Jickiri. Ask for the local traditional food Elarji and local mountain cheese - Sulguni. Host's names are Elguja and Jemali Morgoshia <3 <3
If you stay at the largest lake do not miss the sunset from the little hill to the west, where lake has little outflow, you will have the feeling of swimming above the clouds with the sun beams...
Make sure to have 6 days for the trip and for last day reserve the truck back from Kirnakhona shelter to Skuri village.
Also, last night you will stay at Jalara campsite, walk around and find the second river (Magana), which is warmer and is great opportunity to wash and take a ,,shower" ;)))

Als je een stevige wandeling wilt maken is een tocht naar het Tobavarchkhili meer zeker een aanrader. Prachtige omgeving en een mooi doel om naar toe te wandelen.

Это самое нереальное место, что нам приходилось видеть. Спасибо ребятам из INBOX Travel за эти эмоции на всю жизнь!
Теперь лучшее место, которое навсегда осталось в памяти это озёра Тобаварчхили.
Мало кто знает или бывал в этих местах. Это нетронутая, девственная природа. Воздух вкусный, красота райская, много ягод, самая приятная родниковая вода.
Невозможно ограничиться словами. Это надо почувствовать.

Добраться до озеро не просто - путь лежит через два горных перевала. Ночлег - в палатках.
Озера Тобаварчхили находятся в альпийской зоне - леса тут нет, поэтому готовить надо на газу. Всего 5 озер. Обычно добираются до первого, малого Тоба, или озера Оходже, но для полноты впечатлений рекомендую посетить все озера и спуститься по реке Магана мимо водопада.
Был два раза на этих озерах, поведу и в начале августа 2018.
Красоты - нереальные!
Снаряжение - палатка, спальник, коврик и горные ботинки - обязательные условия.

We took one week trekking to Tobavarchkhili lakes. Trek is quite difficult, crosses at least two passes and mountainous rivers but it is heaven for hikers who wish to trek in absolute wild nature

На озеро можно добраться пешком по горам. Мы шли компанией с проводником с тяжелыми рюкзаками через перевал Цацкибули 2850 метров.Очень трудно. У меня такой поход впервые.Но озеро фантастически красиво! Не зря страдали, поднимаясь в гору, и спускаясь по острым камням.
Вода в озере холодная и прозрачная. Купание возможно для закаленных людей.
Поход для физически крепких и подготовленных путешественников.

Not easiest to navigate, and harsh terrain, path gone in more than few places, river crossings. But stunning !! Amazing beauty ! One of best in whole country, and not full of people ! For adventourus hikers ! We went all the way Mukhuri to Khaishi. Fantastic expierience !

Само собой горы подразумевают наличие озёр,и вот в пасмурный день мы посетили это озеро недалеко от Зугдиди.Сам вид,открывающийся с обзорной площадки был великолепен,дети и взрослые остались довольны пребыванием и купанием на озере.

How long does it take to get to the lakes from the next village? And where do you start?

What do you mean in ,,next village"?
From the last village which is Mukhuri, if you walk right away it takes 2 long days.. I do not recommend walking all of them, once first day is too many ascents and you just walk on the car dirty road.. from the second part you have to trek anyways, once there is not driving road..
So, with car - you are at the lake on the second midday.
without car - end of the second day and veeery tired, even maybe you won't get there till the evening and have to camp before the pass.

Hello guys! Me and my wife we are thinking to do this trekk in the beginning of September. We have been doing many multi day hikes into the wilderness around the world but normally with well marked trails. We are fit and in a good shape. Is this trekking very difficult? Are there many difficult river crosses? We want to have a feeling about how difficult it is. Thanks in advance

September is good time for this trek, but it will be chilly in the morning and at evening. the rout is marked and there are just several places where you have to be careful. I advise you to hire the car from vil. Mukhuri and those guys take you to the beginning of trail and also you win the time and energy.
If you do the Samegrelo version of the trail then it is difficult but not so much. if you do Samegrelo-Svaneti version than it is very difficult.. you have to cross several rivers but in September it will be easy. If you have more questions feel free to ask them ^^

Hi, Tobavarchkhili lakes need 6 or 7 days if you want to explore the area and not to rush. You can start in village Mukhuri, go to Tobavarchkhili lakes, and then end your trip in Squri village.

Мы до озера добирались пешком , медленно поднимаясь в горы в течение 3 х суток.Нас вела проводник Марина из клуба Кулуары.
Наш поход начался в Кутаиси, далее на машине мы доехали до села Мухури и уже оттуда пошли в горы.
