‪There are 5 rose villages in Birulia namely sadallahpur, Mostapara, Shyampur, bagnibari and kumarkhoda.... the flower traders gather in the evening markets to send them to capital city Dhaka and farmers work throughout the day to collect the roses. One can go by car or boat....not a difficult ride from Dhaka....December is the best time for a visit, esp for photography ‬

‪This village is very well known for growing flowers and especially roses. They say more than half of the city's supply of roses comes from here. It occupies an area so big that your bare eyes can't find its edge. One can also take short boat rides from here if they like.‬

‪this place seemed to be overrated to me,a hype has been created by some travel bloggers, but the fact is it's merely an okay place at best.

one thing you shouldn't miss is the way to get in,,take the boat from diabari ghat near mirpur-1,they will charge 20tk per person.both side beauty's description is beyond my writing skill,it's the best part of entire outing.

after getting into the 'sadullapur ghat' you will find a bazaar, you can have snacks over there.then you can get across the road, you will find rose garden on both sides.it's nice when the flowers have bloomed to the maximum size.vendors often come with bunches of flowers, one can buy some flowers from them with cheaper price.there are also some mustard gardens, gladiolus garden near the rose gardens.a lake is in the locality, one can take some photographs in the afternoon.the best time to visit the place is the afternoon I reckon.as a whole, not a bad place for a quarter day outing, but over hyped.‬

‪We did not have any idea about the Rose gardens in Savar. Once we reached Sadullahpur, we found rose gardens everywhere. The flowers are not of high quality or probably this was not the best season for roses. They are not buds but mainly well bloomed flowers. Many households are now nurturing rose plants and the income of the villagers increased substantially. People are more interested in growing roses than other plantations. Each piece is sold for Taka 4 (1USD=78 taka). The roses are sprayed with chemicals and the rose farmers warned us not to smell the flowers. We enjoyed some gardens. From Dhaka, One can take a Bus, car or any other vehicles. It takes less than an hour to reach. However, we took a boat just to enjoy the country side and saw riverine activities.‬

‪Sadullapur is very near from Dhaka and its a very ideal place for a day trip. A large quantity of Dhaka's flower supply comes from this area. Main flowering crop from here is the rose (though they also cultivate other flowers, but only few. Most of the spaces from this area are occupied with the rose gardens. And only few seasonal vegetable cultivation were found.‬
