Found this gem as it was the nearest hostelry to our hotel. So glad we did, the food was excellent, nothing fancy just good honest pub grub, good portions and cooked to order so nice and hot. The atmosphere was welcoming and friendly. We forgot that the following evening was bingo night, however ordered food anyway (only to be told “no talking once the bingo starts, mind” 😉) What a laugh that was, the banter between folks who obviously know one another so well was brilliant and the landlord made an excellent bingo caller with his patter, he even managed to get us to join in after I admitted I’d never played bingo in my life, what a great experience that was even if we didn’t win. Would have eaten there every night but unfortunately had already made other arrangements. Would definitely go back if in the area again.

Overnight stay with our friend, we all decided to get take away delivered. M recommend Fish & Chips from The Creggans, local pub and they deliver!
We had 3 Fish & fiery chips , no cheese and 2 Fish and fiery chips with cheese.
Absolutely superb, delivered in super quick time by Jamie.
Hot, tasty and plentiful! Highly recommend The Creggans for food.
We weren't disappointed...you won't be either. Go on, give it a go!!

Called in for dinner very traditional pub. We both went for special soup, red pepper and paprika. Came in a cardboard round dish like an ice cream carton (obviously saving the planet) with bread and butter. Large portion but impossible to finish as it was overpoweringly hot as in chilli 🌶. Next fish and chips again served in a box. The portion of chips was HUGE but fish greasy you also pay extra for peas and tartar sauce.

The drinks and food are both great, but the best thing about this place is the people. My friend and I walked in with funny American accents and were immediately welcomed by the owner, the cook, and everyone else. They bought us drinks and laughed with us like family. One local member of the church spoke to us and taught us a Scottish phrase "We're a' Jock Tamson's Bairns" which means we are all God's Children. I have never felt so welcomed by a group of people. I hope to bring my family back to visit one day.

Had dinner there one night with friends. Great selection of beers and food fantastic. Try the scampi. Service good too

Despite not being on the menu, there are plenty gluten free options available, even gluten free batter for a fish supper or their other options. The food was delicious and there was a nice, friendly atmosphere.

Lovely pub with tasty well priced grub, friendly atmosphere and a decent pint of ale. Very welcoming to a family of tired tourists on their way home to Cumbria after a holiday day on Skye.

First visit to the creggans for lunch. Fabulous food and great atmosphere. The owners and staff were very friendly and we will be back.Thank you for a relaxing afternoon.

Amazing food! super friendly staff and great atmosphere.
The food came super quick and was really good quality for a reasonable price.
great staff, great food prices,
came down for a friends birthday and ended up making the pub the main part of the holiday, would definitely go back

Yes you can, very dog friendly. Pizzas (which are excellent) served all day.
