Beautiful 4 mile stretch of beach. Quieter and more family oriented than some other locations. Food at the beach cabañaS is wonderful. Rent an umbrella and chairs for $5/day and enjoy the beach!

Playa de Olon isn't usually crowded and is very mellow. The beach is great for walking, swimming, surfing, and watching sunsets.

This beach is cleaner than most I've been to. The cabanitas, and there are many, offer great breakfasts and fresh seafood.
Plenty of sun umbrellas and chair to rent at a decent price. There are vendors that walk the beach selling jewellry, food, hats, sand toys, etc...but they are polite.
Great place to watch the sunsets.

La conocí en temporada baja y me pareció una maravilla, para ser disfrutada. Es bella, extensa, tranquila, con un Océano Pacífico de aguas templadas y con una atractiva oferta de bares y restaurantes en la línea de playa. Tiene todo lo necesario para pasarla muy bien.

A due passi dalla confusionaria Montañita... non molto distante dalla più moderna e visitata Salinas, qua potrete trovare tranquillità e farvi camminate in spiaggia senza praticamente incontrare, in certi orari, nessuno, a parte qualche pescatore o qualche cane. Apprezzata dai surfisti.

Having travelled from the Colombian to the Peruvian border we consider the 9 km beach from Olón to La Entrada as good as any other beach on the Pacific Coast in Ecuador. Safe and clean with several little villages where you can have a meal or something to drink.

Olon's beach goes about 8km north, and parts disappear at high tide. Good for swimming and beginner surfing.

Olon is a quiet little town very close to Montañita. Was the perfect spot for enjoying the sea side away from the loud party town. Cute little restaurants and cafe populate Olon making this town a good alternative. Taxi from and to Montañita only cost $1.5

Sin dudas es una de las mejores playas de Ecuador, inmensa, limpia , tranquila.
Se puede observar gran variedad de aves o solamente relajarse y ver el horizonte.
De lunes a viernes es tranquila, el fin de semana se colma de gente pero siempre hay un lugar si queres descansar.
Lo mejor viene al atardecer cuando el sol cae sobre el mar, es hermoso e indescriptible.

You can get a taxi or local bus from downtown salinas to santa elena bus station, and then take the bus to Olon, just to be sure and answer your whole question.
