‪Totally loved this place. Didn't know what to expect as I had done zero research but have often driven past it.

The colours are absolutely stunning and the whole garden had a magical feel. The entire place is completely natural with grass paths meandering through the woods and in and out of the ponds.

Will definitely visit during the remaining seasons of the year to experience the changing colours ‬

‪So disappointing - over £25 for 2 adults and 2 children and the gardens are so small! It literally took us 30 minutes to walk the entire place. Although it’s very pretty it’s completely overpriced for a short stroll. It’s described as having ‘water gardens’ but these are in fact a handful of tiny ponds and very underwhelming. Waste of money. You’d be better off going to nearby Leonardslee or nymans gardens‬

‪A beautiful walk with some excellent views. It was quite wet and some of the paths were closed. Quite steep in places. I think i was the only visitor later in the afternoon. Definitely recommended.‬

‪Great visit. Lovely walk around the garden especially the wild flower areas. So many small butterflies to see. It is such a peaceful place. Great to walk round a garden that is so natural and not manicured.‬

‪Stunning autumnal colours despite the light rain, but it was very slippery in places this afternoon (30th October) so best to wear appropriate & supportive footwear especially in the current damp conditions. The staff were friendly & helpful, entrance fee was £8.50. There is only one toilet available in the carpark, but I believe there are more in the tearooms which we didn't visit today.
The gardens are beautiful, but would not recommend for disabled people with wheelchairs as some paths are steep.‬

‪Bookable in advance at £8.50 each. RHS membership free entrance only applicable weekdays July and August. On arrival we were given a map and a code for entry into the one toilet (other than the one for customers of the Tea Shop). A tranquil place to walk around. Not many plants in flower, but autumn was just beginning to show its beautiful colours. No sign of any wildlife, but plenty of edible mushrooms (lovely to look at, not to pick!). Some of the paths can be slightly steep and probably slippery in damp weather. A lovely peaceful place.‬

‪We travelled from Eastbourne to visit High Beeches and, due to covid, checked the website before we left to see if we needed to book in advance, which we didn't. I saw that, as HHA members, we were allowed free entry, but those with 241 vouchers were asked to pay the gift aid price for the paying person. On arrival we showed our tickets which the lady on the till looked at with what appeared to be distaste but may have been discomfort,
and were told that we would need to pay for one person as the horses were there. To be honest, I had no idea what she was talking about but it turned out that the heavy horses were ploughing the meadow. It turned out that this was on the website but with no indication that this meant that we were not able to use our HHA cards. As we had gone to see the gardens and weren't bothered about seeing the horses, we declined to pay the £9.30 and took ourselves off to Borde Hill Garden where they were pleased to see both our HHA cards and the money we spent in the cafe etc.
Between March and now, we could have used our HHA cards to gain entry every day had we wished to, but this was our first visit and we did feel that under the circumstances, and as it was clear that we had come to see the gardens and not the horses, the lady could have been more generous and let us in.
Before making the effort to visit again I would ring to check as their website isn't fully accurate and it's a long way to go for nothing. Thank goodness Borde Hill is so close!‬

‪We decided to visit the garden after a trip to the cafe, as the weather was pleasant and we were intrigued! It's a bit pricey (we paid around £17 for two adults), but there is a season ticket available, which improves the value for money if you plan to visit regularly.

There's plenty of parking on site and the lady in the kiosk was friendly and knowledgeable, providing us with a leaflet which has a nicely illustrated map of the gardens on it. A round walk of the grounds takes approximately 40 minutes, but allow more time to relax on a bench and take in the scenery.

The garden is a lovely large space with many unusual examples of trees and plants, which are labelled with descriptions. Surprisingly, we didn't see much wildlife, other than a bird of prey squawking overhead. There are some steeper climbs to get the heart rate up, but plenty of benches if you need to catch your breath. We are just approaching the time of year for the water lilies, so a great reason to visit! All in all, a relaxing way to spend an hour or two!‬
