Excellent service, friendly knowledgeable staff. Beautiful lake and just amazing to be able to picnic on an island in the middle of a lake! 3 hours of brilliant fun - our age range was 8yrs to 66yrs and all kayaking individually.

We hired rafted canoes for our party of 5 adults, two small children and two dogs worked well. Booking was really easy online and everyone was helpful, efficient and friendly when we arrived. Scones afterwards were enormous and very tasty with unusual flavours!

The weather was excellent today. Blue skies and flat calm. We are never disappointed. This is our third visit. Everything is always well organised. Free use of wet suits and dry bags if required.

Great kayaking and paddle experience with a nice café and view. The booking includes water suit and life jacket.

The service was incredibly friendly. We hired two single kayaks and both were in good condition, the lake itself was beautiful and we had a great time! Lovely relaxed feel to the place, everything was no hassle. Would definitely come again.

Considering how close this place is to Keswick it is surprisingly quiet and peaceful. A perfect place for our family to experience paddle boarding for the first time. Grandparents were able to sit and watch on the shore line in the cafe area whilst others took part in activities.
The staff on site were fantastic and a special thanks to the lady in the office who allowed me change our booking at late notice because of a mistake I had made!).
Would certainly recommend.

We had such a great time kayaking on the lake, Nichol End were very friendly and welcoming, made sure we understood all the safety info and helped us have a very enjoyable experience. Many thanks, we’ll be back!

Very well organised set up with all of the right safety protocols in place. Very helpful with enquiries meaning that we had a very good experience with our canoe hire

Complete support . Thank you to team at Nichol end . My friend was nervous after a bad previous experience but coaching session pre kayaking and great equipment gave confidence … thank you a really enjoyable afternoon

Is it walkable from Keswick (C&CC Site) with kids? Google maps suggests the only walking route is down main roads.

Hi hopefully this isn't too late but there's a path you turn left just after Kat's kitchen in Keswick. It's a nice flat no car path and there's lambs in the fields just now
