Ahh this activity is one for the books because the trekking is just a walk in the park. You could bring your children in this activity and for sure they will enjoy nature at its finest.
The trek from the jump off point will take you atleast 1-1.5 hrs depending on the pacing to reach the level 1 of the 3 tiered waterfalls. :) But our baby boy loved to dip and swim and hike and walk and enjoy the nature.
To be able to reach tier 2 you need to have another 10 mins ascend through a ladder which is kinda stiff this is for the adults and more adventurous part but the 2nd tier has small pool in it. The last tier is the most challenging part either you climb the stones with the help of the rope against the current or choose a much steeper way without water in it. we chose the much steeper way.
But we enjoyed this experience so much specially that it is our first time as whole family to hike and swim in the waterfalls.
Will definitely go back!

Lovely trek through lush forest park. Once you reach the top you can enjoy a refreshing swim in the pools under 3 tiers of waterfalls. You will have a wonderful family day out.

The trek will probably take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace... the pavement needs to be improved more coz it gets slippery when it rains, it was drizzling when we went there thats why its a bit muddy but the cold water and the view when you reach your destination is all worth it...

We went with a group tour (12 adults) and all of us had a fantastic time!
We stayed locally at KawaInn Tibiao (can find on Facebook) and they arranged everything. Motorbike ride to the start of the trek was stunning, once you get to the falls they are beautiful and you can swim there

Bugtong Bato falls is one of the most visited attractions in Antique. Before you get to the falls, you will need to walk/trek for may 30-45 minutes. It's just a light trek so no need to wear hiking gears but i still suggest to wear rubber shoes or hiking shoes especially when its the rainy season.
When you get to the falls, you can dip yourselves in the cold refreshing waters and relax. 😊.
We didn't get the chance to go up the 2nd and 1st falls since it was closed due to landslides.
Then get to relax those muscles up after a tiring trek in one of the Kawa Hot Bath spa. We tried the Blue Waters Kawa Hot bath spa where you get to have yourselves cooked(just kidding) in a big kawa while enjoying the scenery of the river and the sound of nature.
When you get to the falls, you can dip yourselves in the cold refreshing waters and relax. 😊.

Before you reach to the falls, you have to go through a more or less 30 minute trekking in Tibbiao mountain (I forgot the exact name of the mountain), but it'll be all worth the perspiration and exhaustion as the falls is breathtaking. It's not as big as the other falls that I've seen but it gives intimacy within your group especially if you came by off peak season. The water is cold and relaxing! Had a truly fun dip in it. 😁

Walk through fields of various crops like peanuts; rice; vegetables, and be rewarded with an awesome sight of Bugtong Bato Falls. Climb up to the top, aided by crude steps and ropes to hang on to. Very refreshing after the walk. Lunch was served in a box and was taken in one of the huts near the falls.

Great to see the hidden treasures of Antique opening up for tourists. A cornucopia of wild life and beautiful scenery. We trekked to the first three falls would love to see the other four some day.

If you're curious about the kawa hot bath in Antique, try including Bugtong-Bato falls in your itinerary. From what I read online, this falls is 7-tiered but we were only able to go to one tier. Lol. Going up to the falls would take about 30 minutes, depending on your pace. And if the hike would not take your breath away, I'm pretty sure the sceneries along the way would! You'd see lots of greens and field terraces, it's amazing! The cold, fresh water of the falls is energizing and refreshing, it's worth a visit!

If you are a nature loving person, you will cherish every moment in going to the falls. Requiring only a minimum amount of trekking, you could reach the falls in less than an hour, depending on your pace. On the way, take in your surroundings for this is unspoiled nature at its finest. You will not see any vestiges of the dirt of the city, and you will have only the trees, wild birds, and fresh air as your companions. Once you reach the falls, most likely, there will not be any crowds there and you will have the place to yourself. This is just the first of seven tiers or levels of the waterfalls, and the view is already great. There are shallow spots where even non-swimmers can take a swim. The water is cold but you will definitely enjoy your swim in its clear water. Afterwards, you can go to the area where you can see the 2nd and 3rd tiers/levels of the falls. This is a bit more challenging as you need to ascend slippery stairs carved out of the soil and rocks. The stairs, while short, is an almost vertical climb hence the need to grasp the ropes built into it to assist people going up. The area where you can view the 2nd & 3rd levels of the falls is as far as most can go. To go up the rest of the 7 levels, you would already need mountaineering gear. This is a great experience which one should not miss when in Tibiao, Antique!
