Das mit der Abzocke kann ich nicht nachvollziehen! Wichtig ist das man sehr früh dort ist, ich reise immer so das ich um 7:00-8:00 da bin. Denn mann wartet in einem Raum bis mann drann kommt, wenn Du zu spät kommst kann es sein das Du nicht mehr drann kommst. Meine 5 Tattos haben immer 1-200 Bath gekostet. In form von sachspenden! Natürlich habe ich dem Tempel immer noch was extra gespendet!!

finally visited this place after some time, took a Grab, I was kinda lucky to get one actually. Car ride there from central BKK is about an hour, the driver had to stopped for petrol even.
Large place with lots of interesting idols, central place for the famous Sak Yant, even saw 1 in progress even though it was a weekday. If your ride stops you at the carpark, remember to head inside where the main buildings are. Do your research and you will know that the real monks here wont approach you, IYKWIM. Another impt note is that, theres absolutely no English here, everything in Thai. Only the lady at the counter uds a little English and can point to you where you want to go. Good place to be around if you are interested in Buddhism

I had done a lot of research before going to this temple to get a blessed sak yant tattoo by one of the monks, expecially by Luang Pi Nunn. I had previously gotten a sak yant tattoo by an ajarn in Chiang Mai. My friends and I hired a taxi driver from our hotel for 1000 bahts roundtrip from Bangkok. We left Bangkok at 7:00 am and arrived about an hour later. Upon arriving, our driver asked someone at the temple where to get the offering, which building to go, etc. There were a couple of different tables that sold offerings, one charged 75 bahts and another one charged 60 bahts. After that, we were led to sit on a stone bench where there were 4 women waiting before us. Interestingly enough, one of them spoke very good English and told us that we were at the right place. About 15 minutes later, we were led upstairs to a building. Right away, I felt something was wrong because I read from other posts that upstairs are for foreigners to pay large sums of money to get a sak yant tattoo. Sure enough, once we were led upstairs, we were given a menu with all the different sak yant tattoos that they offered. We were then told that the tattoo fee started at 4500 bahts and up depending on the pattern that we choose. Well, I knew right then and there that we were led up to the wrong room. After asking a couple of questions, we were told that there is another building where the monk does the tattoos. Right away, the English speaking lady who were there before us tried to convince us that where we were was a better option because there was no wait. But that's not the reason why we went to this temple. So, I went downstairs to the other building to investigate. Sure enough, Luang Pi Nunn, was in the middle of giving a tattoo to someone with about 5 people waiting. After what I saw, I immediately went back to the other building to retrieve my friends. As we left the upstairs room, the 2 ladies (one who spoke good English) followed us downstairs. I thought, ok, may be they are coming to the other building with us. Well, they left and was nowhere to be found. A few days later, I thought about the event and I realized the English speaking lady must be part of a scam at the temple to bring unsuspecting foreigners upstairs to pay for the very expensive tattoo.
Now that story is out of the way, let me tell you the steps. Once arrived at the temple, find the tables that sold the offerings. Then find the right building where the monk performs the sak yant tattoos. The room is located on the ground floor of a building. So, if you were led up a bunch of steps, run the other way unless you want to choose your sak yant and pay an arm and a leg for it. Once you find the right room, you need to make a 25 bahts donation on silver platter in the middle of the floor. You will also put the offering you bought on that platter. Then you will find a stack of pink envelopes (very worn because they are reused). You'll then put a donation into that pink envelope, find a place to sit on the floor and wait for your turn to get tattooed by the monk. The rest you can just watch and learn while you wait for your turn. It is important to remember that the monk determines which sak yant and its location on your body. There is no pictures allowed inside the building and please be respectful to the process. The tattoos that we received were done with a tattoo gun. Just because it wasn't done with a stick doesn't take away from the power as long as you show respect and be a good person.

Absolute abzocke, man fährt ca. 1,5 std von Bangkok aus dorthin. Für tattoos ist schon alles ausgeschildert und sobald man in dem Raum ist wo tattowiert werden soll bekommt man schon eine Mappe in die Hand gedrückt und kann sich sein “heiliges” tattoo aussuchen. Als wir uns eines ausgesucht hatten hätten wir die Spende kaufen sollen und für ein 5x5cm großes tattoo wurden weitere 4500baht verlangt. Lieber zu einem richtigen tattowierer gehen da bekommt man eins für die Hälfte und es werden auch die Hygiene Standards eingehalten. So mal ich auch bezweifle das es wirklich ein richtiger Mönch war und es dann eh keinen heiligen Effekt gehabt hätte.

Took the bus from central to the Wat Bang Phra about an hours journey. Keep the whole day free to get a San Yakt tatto from the monks and roam around the temples

Wat Bang Phra is a epicenter for Sak Yants, and if you don't know the history of Sak Yant, then don't get one before you have the understanding and are willing to live with a Sak Yant
Sak Yants is for some people a way of life, and there are rules of conduct that follows the different designs

Eine Stunde Autofahrt von Bangkok weg liegt die Tempelanlage.sehr schöner Tempel wo man auch ein Tattoo von einen Mönch bekommen kann.ich bin sehr happy darüber

Mein Freund und ich haben uns bereits vor unserer Thailandreise genauestens über das Sak Yant Tattoo informiert. Leider sind die Infos die man online bekommt so verschieden, das man wirklich nicht schlau wird daraus.
Deshalb beschlossen wir uns in Bangkok die weiteren Infos zu holen und es auf uns zukommen zu lassen.
Nähe der Kao San sind wir also am vorletzten Abend zu einer Touristeninformation gegangen und haben von unserem Vorhaben erzählt. Die Dame hat uns für 1500 Bath einen Taxifahrer bestellt der uns am nächsten Morgen um 06:00 morgens abgeholt hat und uns den ganzen nächsten Vormittag nie von der Seite gewichen ist. Er war wirklich sehr nett, trotz mangelnder Englischkenntnisse. Wir wollten unbedingt die 5 Gebetssprüche mit einem Metallstab gestochen bekommen.
Der Taxifahrer kaufte für uns die Spende (wir gaben Ihm dafür nochmal 75Bath pro Person) und informierte sich in welchem Gebäude der ganze Spaß stattfindet.
Wir waren die ersten im Raum, dort stand in der Mitte der Mitte eine große Spendenschüssel in der sich schon 6 Spenden befanden. Dadurch erkannten wir das wir als 7.+8. an der Reihe sein müssten.
Alles geschah in diesem einen Raum. Die Leute kamen nach und nach, der Raum füllte sich.
Mir platzte fast das Herz aus der Brust, da ich die einzige Frau im Raum war und dazu waren wir auch die einzigen Ausländer.
Der Mönch kam, bereitete alles vor und holte dann auch seine Tattoo Maschiene hervor.... also doch kein Metallstab.
Etwas geknickt beschlossen wir uns dennoch tätowieren zu lassen und warteten weiter bis wir an der Reihe waren. Wir beobachteten jeden einzelnen wie er tätowiert wurde, was einem bei dem Ablick der Schmerzen den Schweiß auf die Stirn trieb.
Als ich nun an der Reihe war stand auch unser Taxifahrer auf und sagte dem Mönch das wir uns die 5 Gebetssprüche wünschen, ich gab dem Mönch zusätzlich nocheinmal 100 Bath in einem kleinen Rosa Umschlag die man dort im Raum nehmen konnte. Der Mönch war anscheinend nicht begeistert davon, oder von der Tatsache das eine weiße Frau vor ihm Sitzt. Jedenfalls diskutierte er mit den anderen für ca 2min und ich fühlte mich
extrem unerwünscht.
Er begann schließlich mit dem Tattoo, seine zwei Assistenten brachten mich in die richtige Position und hielten die Hautstelle ruhig.
5 min hat das ganze höchstens gedauert, es hat wirklich sehr weh getan (schmerzhafter als mein Tattoo auf der Wirbelsäule) und leider ist das Tattoo nicht schön gestochen, was bei 5min auch nicht zu
erwarten ist.
Der Mönch segnete das Tattoo direkt und „hauchte“ seinen Segen hinein. Nochmal kniet man sich vor dem Mönch und geht dreimal zu Boden und das wars dann.
Das Tattoo hat sehr!! stark und lange geblutet, es ist jetzt gerade am heilen und ich hoffe sehr das wir uns keine Infektion geholt haben. Dieses Risiko geht man jedoch immer ein. Die Nadel wurde Anfangs neu aufgesteckt und wurde von der ersten Person weg nie gewechselt. Damit haben wir aber schon vorher gerechnet.
Alles in einem in dieser ausführlichen Rezession, würde ich sagen das es zwar eine Erfahrung wert ist und sehr auch der Sinn hinter dem Tattoo ist einfach schön.. deshalb haben wir es auch machen lassen.
Jedoch muss ich für den Umgang vor Ort und für die Qualität des Tattoos zwei Sterne abziehen.
Ich denke nicht das ich so etwas noch einmal machen lassen würde -als Frau!
Vielleicht ist es noch der Schock, doch glücklich bin ich leider nicht mit dem Tattoo.
Mein Freund hat nach mir das selbe Tattoo erhalten und ist ganz zufrieden damit.

kannte die Risiken, doch habe ich mir trotzdem etwas mehr erwartet. Der Sinn zählt.

Hallo , Ich fliege in 3 Wochen nach Bangkok und möchte gerne ein Tattoo im Tempel stechen lassen . Allerdings bin ich sehr verunsichert was die Preise angeht . Manche berichten von 100-150 Baht ( Opfergaben) andere von 2000-5000 Baht . Kann mir bitte jemand erklären , was nun tatsächlich der Wirklichkeit entspricht bzw. in welchem Fall welcher Preis zustande kommt . Das wäre wirklich super lieb , Dankeschön !

Bonjour, vos commentaires sont vraiment utiles! je dois me rendre à Bangkok le 1er Setpembre et j’aimerai me faire un Sak Yant dans ce temple. Est ce que je peux y aller et me faire Tatouer sans prendre de rendez vous ? ma question peut paraître stupide mais je me renseigne...! merci d'avance☺️

and NO admission fees.
just make a donation if you enjoy what they have on offer.
This particular one can be VERY crowded on weekends and holidays, so plan your visit accordingly.
There are also MANY other interesting places in the immediate area so plan a day trip.
