The place is run down with blackout and leaking aircon. Drank coffee at J.Co. We also ate panties pizza. Bought garlic peanuts at 45k per pack when other places are selling at 33K. A lot of shops and good paces are closed. No movie too.

This mall has four levels of shops like Guardian , Miniso and many shops selling fake bags and wallets . There is a hyper mart on the basement where you can pick up your favourite snacks like Keropok and candy . However when we wanted to buy towels there , we were told we had to weigh the towels bf buying . Apparently they sold the towels by weight !!!
There are plenty of food stalls there . We tried the duck restaurant and the food was good especially the duck . There is also a A&W on site .
There are also many restaurants situated on the top floor like MALAYA etc . The options are more and cheaper on the top floor .
Overall impression : ok to visit if you are staying nearby.

A good modern Mall with retailers such as Uniqlo and restaurants like Marugame Udon . Definitely worth a visit for a couple of hours. We took a car from Montigo Resort which was very reasonable

The mall aircon seems to be not working as it was very hot. Many food stalls are closed, nothing much to eat. Many kue lapis stalls around. This mall is not maintained well.

The mall is not worth visiting. Unless you are looking for very cheap buys and bargains. Many of the shops sells identical products where prices varies. Take in mind many of the products are cheap imitations.
The mall is surrounded by many massage centres offering affordable foot reflexology to spa treatments. Window shop around before making an appointment with the centre of your choice.
The jewel is Sun Bread Bakery / Confectionery.
For their Kuih Lapis. With Butter.
Price ranges for original Kuih Lapis to various flavour are way much cheaper than other outlets offering the same.
For their Kuih Ambon
Taste and smell divine.
The staff are friendly and not pushy to sell their products.
Should you order more than 5 boxes of their Kuih Lapis/Ambon, they will deliver to your hotel. Depending on distance and location.
Be prepared to pay for delivery should you be staying away from Batam Centre / Nagoya Hill area. Since I stayed at Holiday Inn, didnt mind paying for the extra distance delivery.
Do order 1 day in advance. They will deliver on the date & time you want to the hotel's front desk. Delivery person will take photo of the delivery and Whatsapp you. We made arrangement for front desk to deliver to our room
Tastebud verdict
Between butter and margarine - butter tasted better.
The Kuih Lapis almost melts in your mouth and the taste lingers.
Cakes and pastries sold in the bakery / confectionery are worthy too for tea / coffee breaks.

TOURISTS ALERT: The DISHONEST fruit juice and drink stall at the Nagoya Hill Mall Food Street in front of A&W and KFC is a total rip off!
We ordered a can of coke and paid the stall keeper rp50,000 and only got back rp5000 which means it cost SGD4.50. My other friend ordered 2 fruit juices from the other stall keeper and it was rp50,000 for a fresh pineapple juice. The juices came and after just one sip, it tasted so diluted and awfully disgusting to drink.
When we requested for a refund, the stall keeper pretended that she don't understand what we are saying and refused to entertain us. She did not offer to make us another one either. They are conniving and really cheating tourists money by overcharging their drinks. Please be careful of the stall keepers at the food street as they can easily overcharge you. This is a disgusting practice and distasteful.

I was waiting for my Go Jek Driver to fetch me when all of the sudden a guy came and SHUN ME AWAY from the mall because he told GRAB and GO JEK drivers ARE NOT ALLOWED to pick up. He was working for one of the Taxi company stationed at the MALL. My mum due to leg pain have to walk quite a distance. I WAS DAMN PISSED OFF. I nearly LOSED MY TEMPER. Now i REGRETTED goin there again after this incident.

Overall, we were reasonably happy with this old mall, despite a rather unpleasant encounter with two of the sales staff at level one. Please be extra cautious about some of the sales staff at the level one area (kind of like push carts, temporary stalls). There were two of the ladies targeting our older relative and insisting that she get some moisturizers for her hands, as well as scrubs for her hands later on, while holding onto her hands very tightly. Then, they even continued insisting that she needs some special cream to get rid of her age spots on the left side of her face. Thankfully, we rescued our aunty in time to veer her off these two aggressive sales staff. Please do not target old folks like our aunty and insist that they buy your skin products.
I highly recommend the Thai drinks called Dum Dum (see the second picture), also in level one too.

I dont see it though. But the buffet I see is mostly like the nasi padang restaurant where you can make a lot of choices of the dishes.
