‪Interesting Buddhist Complex‬

‪Our first stop since arriving in Batam. It is quite a huge Buddhist complex, probably funded by the local Chinese community.

The Front is the Tua Pek Kong temple, it is in a traditional South China building with a central courtyard and a main deity praying halls.

Behind the TPK Temple, what look like a newly constructed Great Buddhist Hall, go up the stairs to the main prayer halls, there are 3 huge Buddha statues inside. Chants are playback on the speaker.

Please be respectable and dressed decently when visiting as it is a local religious place.‬

‪蠻大又有特色的廟‬

‪我去的時候廟正在裝修，這個廟蠻大的，還有很多大型的雕像，可以去走走。旁邊還有一些店可以吃點小吃喝個飲料。‬

‪Nice to see two religions together‬

‪We walked to this place from Allium hotel and on the hot day is is some challenge especially that you have to walk along in the streets.
Surprised to see two different religions and two different temples under "the same roof". Indonesia.‬

‪Kalau kebetulan melintas di sekitar Nagoya mampirlah ke Vihara Budi Bkati ini. Lokasinya di pinggir jalan besar dan dari depan tampak rimbun terlindung pepohonan. Banyak patung-patung yang indah di pelataran baik yang luar maupun dalam. Banyak objek dan spot foto yang cantik.Masuk saja, tidak usah ragu. Waktu saya ke sana malah sedang ada shooting video sebuah rumah produksi. Pengurus vihara juga cukup welcome kalau ditanya-tanya.‬
