Why on earth they have employed Horizon Thieving Pond Life Ltd to illegally harras and overcharge their "valued" customers is beyond me. I have an £85 fine for parking 44 minutes reduced to £51, but will not allow me to pay via the website as instructed or via the phone (also as instructed) so I assume once the 14day period is up (tomorrow, as company car via lease company, details to me were delayed) they will then allow me to pay £85. They are a faceless fraudulent company of the highest order. If I ever see any shopping mall or business that employs this scum, I will simply drive on and not give them my business. If they don't know how bad their service is, or the amount of complaints they receive (just look at Trust Pilot) then they have done naff all due dillegence.

The Town Centre used to have a plethora and variety of shops. Nowadays, half of them fell victim to changing habits and economic factors. During the day it's still quite a busy place to walk through, but people just seem to wander about without purpose.
I mean who needs 4 Vape shops?
However, there are still some good places and decent prices from Farmfoods, Home Bargains and Iceland. There's no actual supermarket though, which is shocking for a Town Centre shopping centre this size. Of course there used to be a Sainsbury's and Marks & Spencer, but they shut up shop.
There's still a Library and the Cinema is still going, even the Ice Rink too, but nearly every restaurant around that area closed down.
There were plans on selling off part of the shopping centre to make way for homes, and that seems a sensible plan.

I am a resident, East Kilbride now called a commuter town it means the jobs have gone and College offers minimal course choice. The homes are often built with what was sold as the new wonder material asbestos if you have some there is no help from anywhere it's everywhere but shuss don't tell anyone

Always at the centre and have been going since I was a kid, when I was younger it was so crowded, shops were always open and just a good place in general. Now a days it’s filled with kids, had a group of girls come up and shout at me and my family thinking it was funny. I’m appalled, police are always down there now, junkies begging for cash. Disgusting really.

Do not use the car wash guys at the old Debenham end... They rake your car and belongings. Fact. Shopping centre not interested unless anything is stolen and police is called
Its not the first time either.
So if you leave your door open in your house its ok for someone to go in and rake your house.... No. Your in a place of trust. Not acceptable at all.
Shame because my car was all shiny.

every picture of shop on that front page of ek shopping center is closed down , this place is dyer , and will close its doors within the next couple of yrs

Sadly lots of units are not occupied because the owners of east kilbride are that greedy they would rather have nobody in those empty units than reduce the rates,the olympia especially ,20 years ago it was lined with shops both sides heading up from the plaza now all there is Game,a barber and some extortionate food places ,even the olympia arcade is all blocked off

I found this a delightful shopping centre and enjoyed using the different stores all across the town centre, however we then accedently went to the wrong car park. which was ok, however that was untill I met 2 security guards who I found to be very rude and obnoxious and exceptionally antagonizing towards us. They then proceeded to telling me and my freinds we were trespassing when in reality we were just looking for our car they then accused us of trying to stir up bother which we found appoling.
Unfortunately due to are cold hearted experience with your security guards we will no longer be returning.
I would highly suggest you watch your security and how they handle a situation, perhaps even give them proper training.

I enjoy going to this shopping centre especially as lockdown prevents most things I stop in lots of different shops and get on very well with many of the staff workin Within both the plaza and the mall . I Stopped as I do at Costa only to find they can't take payment only on the app having downloaded app still couldn't buy due to connection.issues within the plaza I walked away and in frustration swore at how crazy things are. The bully who can't turn up to work clean and presentable said stop shouting...to which I replied I am allowed to be upset. He then kept talking and I said look leave me alone you have no power over me so leave it.....I then walked as I have done daily down the entire length of the plaza . The bully had followed me saying I had sworn at him which I know I hadn't so now he has told lies aswell he then asked me to leave so I said why he said again I swore so I recorded him and told him straight to his face he was a liar . I was then asked by an older security person who I know to which I replied absolutely because I know you and I know your a gentleman I shall be taking it up with the security company once I find out who they are and will be taking this further. Bullying is against the law...and as I stated he will be sorry he wasted my afternoon....and that's not a threat that's a promise

East Kilbride shopping centre seems to have it’s own interpretation of current regulations. Apparently you don’t need to wear a mask if you:
A: are using your phone
B: a stall holder
C: walking along eating or drinking
D: a secondary school pupil
E: just out of the gym
F: just can’t be bothered
No need either, apparently, to follow the one way social distancing markings.
However, the main challenge is finding a way in or out of the shopping centre without running the gauntlet of smokers lined up at every entry / exit. I don’t particularly want to breath in anyone’s second hand smoke, particularly in these covid times. Perhaps the centre management could look at providing a smoke free entrance?

What is the best way to get from Glasgow city centre to East Kilbride shopping centre

Glasgow city centre has several buses going to East Kilbride shopping centre. 31,18,6,21.
Service is half hourly and takes 40/50 minutes depending on route and traffic.They all go to the bus station,which is at the entrance to the mall.
