We were visiting from New Zealand, and attended a performance of Noel Coward’s “Present Laughter”.
The theatre has about 150+ seats, and full stage setup. The company is excellent, and we thoroughly enjoyed the play.
It appears to be well supported, which is great and would seem to be well deserved.

We are incredibly lucky to have this facility in Wokingham. The actors are so talented and the sets and costumes are as many I have seen in the West End.

This theatre consistently puts on top quality shows of a very high standard. Every member is a volunteer from the actors, stage crew, tech crew and set builders, not forgetting front of house. Shows range from serious drama to comedy, well known plays to new innovative writing.
One big tip. Get onto their website and book as soon as you can as seats sell very quickly. Better still become a member and secure seats ahead of open sale dates.

A friend and I went for the first time to Wokingham Theatre last week to see The 39 Steps. I have never seen an 'am dram' production presented so professionally before. I really thought I was in the West End it was so good. With only four people playing all the rolls it was brilliant. The actors must have been exhausted at the end of the run. I have now booked to see the next production in October and have high hopes for it to be as good as this one. Well done!

Saw another brilliant production this week and yet again blown away by the professional acting skills and production values.
I think I enjoyed the 39 Steps more than the West End version a few years ago!
Every seat has a brilliant view of the stage and the volunteer staff in the foyer are so friendly.
Top class acting - my teenage son and I laughed our way through the whole show.
Can't wait to book our next tickets!

Went to see the production of 39 steps at the Wokingham theatre last night. It was a great fun evening, laughed a lot,
The cast were amazing, such professionalism, as good as the production I saw in the west end last year. Well done to cast and all the production team, excellent night out.

Started going to a PLay early this year and was blown away for whats technically an amateur Rep company how brilliant and professional Wokingham Theatre is, small and intimate but professionally ruin, excellent value at £12 a Ticket, complete with amazing sets, different plays from farce to fairly dark drama, to cutting and black comedy, Wokingham will have something for you sometime.
It suits anyone I'd guess from family with children, to couples wanting a night out.
Please please give them a go especially if your new to theatre. IN addition free parking on the site!

As a season ticket holder I am lucky enough to visit the Wokingham Theatre every 6 or so weeks when the productions are on and it’s always a wonderful evening out with my 2 friends. We are treated to a wide variety of productions, all of them expertly played, and in comfortable surroundings. The theatre itself has a well stocked bar offering hot, cold and alcoholic drinks and plenty of comfortable seating - we often arrive half an hour early, get a drink and catch up before the play begins.
As season ticket holders we often see plays we wouldn’t have perhaps chosen ourselves but they are always worth seeing. We (all three of us) have many happy memories of plays over the years that have made laugh, cry, argue in the interval or even shrug our shoulders in confusion at the end! Always enjoyable and always memorable, expertly produced and played in comfortable surroundings.

Wokingham Theatre unerringly presents productions of the highest standard. Hard to believe it’s an amateur theatre.

My wife and I have been regular members here for many years and are hard put to remember plays that we haven't enjoyed. The theatre is intimate and has a good bar. Car parking is free but fills up quickly. The standard of performance is very high. Most shows are played to a full house.
