The exhibition about Van Toorop to Kees van Dongen was disappointing. Van Dongen's work, in particular, does not come into its own, because the display cases in which the work is displayed are not suitable for this purpose. Almost every work by Van Dongen is 'split' by a glass panel. Very disturbing and unfortunate.
Furthermore, we find it curious that a surcharge of € 3.50 has to be paid in the museum in the Netherlands with glass and jewelry by this great artist precisely for the work of Lalique in the Commandery.
Then let visitors pay an extra for a temporary exhibition.

A nice museum spread over 3 beautiful buildings in Doesburg.
The lalique collection is impressive, the explanation of an employee interesting.
Exhibition of Jan Toorop and Kees van Dongen nicely cared for.
Very welcoming staff, cozy place by the kitchen in the 2nd building for coffee / tea.
Successful visit!

The museum consists of three separate buildings. Next to the glass art of René Lalique there was also a Jan Toorop exhibition. Friendly volunteers. Nice café as well.

The Lalique museum visited because of Exhibition From Jan Toorop to Kees van Dongen.
This exhibition was really worthwhile and beautifully designed, with a clear story with background information for each painting.
The permanent collection René Lalique has less interest to me, so I walked through this quickly. I can't believe Lalique is being charged 1250 euros for a glass ashtray.
I let the extra exhibition of René Lalique to pay pass me by.

You have to be on your feet to see the exhibition. Steep stairs, steps and steps make the museum a special location. Across the street are 2 more rooms with a continuation of the collection. The whole is beautifully displayed and a number of works are highlighted, very beautiful!! The last 2 locations are more accessible and have a more open character. Lots of catering space, both inside and outside. Now extra exhibition of work Kees van Dongen and Jan Toorop.

A museum with, among other things, a specific collection of glassware. Definitely worth it, but the explanation provides the added value. This is not apparent from the exhibition itself, but we were lucky that a lady gave more explanation. Furthermore, it is somewhat hyped and lacks perspective regarding Lalique in his time
The same actually applies to the Art Nouveau exhibition.
Not suitable for people with mobility problems.
It is not clear why an extra €3.50 must be paid for visiting a third building.

Enjoyed the visit to the Lalique Museum.
The special glass art (vases, perfume bottles), the cozy shop with nice jewelry, located in the building across the street.
The location is attractive with beautiful windows.
Friendly staff.
Definitely recommended.

It was very nice to see the new part of the museum in the new building, all praise!
But what a travesty that the old silver collection was completely neglected, a day of silver polishing would do wonders.
Visitors want to be taken seriously,
they pay for that too!

Went to the Lalique museum, I had a museum card so it was free for me and my girlfriend had to pay entrance. So we wanted to see Lalique's works, but upon entry you had to pay extra for Lalique's works (3.50 euros), making the total entrance fee 19.50. There was also an exhibition of Micha, but we did not come for that. So we thought it was very strange that you have to pay extra for Lalique's works in the Lalique museum. So keep this in mind.
