The views are stunning, the pizza and wine are absolutely delicious, and unique. They have great, friendly and knowledgeable staff. Brilliant to see their cows, dogs and sheep. Dog friendly and really great live music nights. Highly recommend a visit or multiple visits

Dropped in here midweek, quiet at first. Wine tasting provided by a lovely, friendly young lady on her first day. Ordered pizza for lunch afterwards and this was quick and delicious. Beautiful to sit out in the sun by the dam with a glass of wine.

This was our first visit to Balancing Heart and we thoroughly enjoyed our great lunch and wine tasting. Their staff are passionate about their wines and very knowledgeable. The wines are superb and we lashed out on these also. We were delighted to chat with the winemaker whom we found very affable and unpretentious. We think their fine reputation is well deserved and recommend them highly. Hmm.. not surprising to read negative reviews from folks in tour groups, who in our experience barge en mass into places, destroying the ambiance and expecting all to be served at once…

Angry winemaker serving clients doesn’t work. The previous 3 wineries were great and we bought a lot of product - Angry Anderson wine maker should just make wine and not be at the front of sales open to criticism. You might need to pay someone to remove your bad reviews as our whole group have recommended our many British & Australian friends to steer clear of this winery. Dismal performance - worse than English Cricket Team in the current Ashes!!!

We were absolutely amazed at the beautiful ambience. Sitting in the sun on a freezing July Saturday. I'm a local and my son and daughter in law are from Brisbane. Wine and pizza were so good, accompanied by fantastic music. My grandchildren loved climbing the trees and feeding the resident cows. Would totally recommend and will certainly be back.

Our tour group arrived for a pre-booked wine tasting and unfortunately experienced the worst customer experience imaginable. The aggressive and abrupt manner in which the wine maker conducted the tasting was a sight to behold, belittling guests when the wines weren’t to their taste. It was a chore to provide some water and buckets when requested during the tasting. If the owners want to keep the gates open, it would be advisable to keep him and his disgusting behaviour back of house and away from paying guests

Balancing Heart is in a lovely location. Aside from wine tasting, you can get great woodfired pizzas and sit at one of the tables overlooking the lake. It's a very pleasant way to have a leisurely lunch. On weekends, you can eat here at night too and they have live music.

Visited recently over the May long weekend and very disappointed with this visit. Would likely not return or recommend to others.
Yes it was a long weekend and busy however other venues in town seemed better prepared.
Our group (28 inc kids) had booked weeks in advance. There was also another large group (~30) and at least another 100 patrons. The venue was very understaffed and food took well over an hour to come out - these are wood fired pizzas mind you so it’s nuts it took so long. The venue should have stopped taking walk ins or bookings if it couldn’t handle the crowds.
No idea how the council allows it - there was 1 working toilet with all those visitors and the set up is quite unsafe - staff exit the kitchen with hot food where customers are lining up to order and they were still trying to do wine tastings in the same space - a space no bigger than a shipping container!
It took requests to cancel the missing orders for staff to look into the delays despite asking 3 seperate staff members.
I’ve visited here before and it just seems as though they have tried to expand - catering for functions, groups, buses etc without first addressing fundamentals like ordering system, kitchen capacity or bathrooms.
Comparatively there are much more convenient wineries, increasing food options elsewhere and frankly nicer wines.
Would not recommend.

We dropped in after our walk at Girraween National Park. Lucky to get winemaker Mike Hayes as our tasting host. Bought a number amongst our group.
We then stayed for pizzas. It was a very busy Sunday lunch but the time waiting went with visits to the cows and taking in the rock views. The Lamb and Parmesan pizza got a great reception with an accompanying glass of Campfire and Company red.

We were staying at the National Park not far from the winery and dropped in for lunch as it was recommended by a lady at Stanthorpe information centre. We were not disappointed. We had the mezz platter which was very generous in the the selection and quantity of tasty food. The wood fired pizza was excellent and both very reasonably priced. We enjoyed an excellent bottle of Shiraz as well while sitting inside out of the cold windy weather next to a fire. It can be confusing which of the 50 wineries to visit, put this one at the top of the list.
