Our group of 4 adults decided to visit this attraction on the spur of the moment after reading a leaflet at our holiday park. We booked online so as to make life a little easier (and cheaper). Upon arrival we were given a map which gives you guidance as to the best way round so as to see all of the animals.
This is no ordinary animal display, they have built walkways that take you high above and around the enclosures so you get to see the animals from above.
I have never seen crocodiles and alligators this close up before and as for the primate enclosure you finish up within inches of them.
Although some of the walkways are disabled friendly not all are, especially around the big cats.
I will definitely be returning here again with my granddaughter in the near future

Having just visited this lovely little zoo it's very clean although a bit small can get round in about 1-2 hours . It allows u to get very close to wild animals a good experience nice gift shop n wasn't too busy.

Fabulous wild life park suitable for the whole family. Great day out, plenty to do and see. Good picnic areas, plenty of parking. Lovely friendly staff.

Just come back from such an amazing time here that I feel I need to write a review. What a beautiful park! So many animals and such a treat to actually see all of them including the big cats, red pandas, gibbons, birds, crocodiles etc etc. Such a variety of enclosures to walk through plus tree walks, which also made the visit more interesting. Cockatoo Cafe for light bites, lunch and drinks. Well worth a visit

We went on sept 13th 2023 for family day out whilst on our holiday and was not disappointed. The day started with nice east entrance into park as booked on line which is so easy to do. Walking around the park was able to get up close to the animals which was an amazing experience. Lots todo for kids like the tree house walk. On site cafe very reasonable and if you want something a little extra special you can adopt one of the animals for just £25 which we did (a crocodile)

Wow! Honestly it’s gonna take a lot to top what we’ve seen today.
For such a small zoo in comparison to some others I’ve been too it will forever be the BEST zoo I’ve ever been too.
We had an amazing time and got so close to some amazing animals i managed to get up close to an American crocodile 🐊 and the monkeys were making some great noises.

We were on a holiday to visit preserved railways but took a day out to visit the zoo for a change. What a great place where you could see the animals close up. There were so many to see. I was fascinted to watch the crocodiles being fed, My wife loved the tiger. We spent enjoyable two hours walking round

We decided to go one afternoon during our holiday due to bad weather at the coast. We had already been to Africa alive and at the time thought that would be the only animal park visit. This place is by far better than Africa alive as although its smaller we happened to go during the week when there were hardly any other visitors. There were plenty of interesting animal enclosures where you could really get close to the animals and from different positions, which I thought was unique. You could even take a pushchair or wheelchair around most of the elevated areas overlooking the enclosures. For the size of the park I thought there were plenty of playgrounds for the kids to play on as well as the tree walk, which was very exciting for them. My only criticism is that some of the enclosures looked a little tired however most appeared to have been extended to allow more room for the animals. Overall for the cost of entry I think this is great value for money and on a nice day there is enough for kids to do for the entire day.

Very nice attraction for families with young children. We enjoyed the antics of the cheeky gibbons, the elevated walkway made it exciting for the children to see the gibbons up close. The big cats were magnificent specimens, feeding time up close was accompanied by an informative talk by the keepers. Alligators, parrots, meercats and koi fish. Plenty of open spaces for a picnic. Nice café with reasonable prices, and a nice gift shop. We enjoyed our visit.

Have been servers l times before but not for several years. Was still a nice day out and kids enjoyed it. Love how close you can get to the animals where you can actually see them not like other zoos where they’re usually hiding inside or in the bushes some where.
Food court isn’t great though. Offers some cold food and very small selection of warm food.
It’s a nice small zoo and on a warm sunny day is a fun day out. Good price too.

Some walkways are very narrow and toddlers babies can’t b carried. The lion walkway and new 1 by birds would b fine. We hav done narrow 1’s with ours walking once they steady and it it not to busy so we didn’t cause traffic jam they won’t see much but if u hav older 1’s and just 1 adult u can make it work.

How long does it take to see everything/ get round the whole site?

Couple of hours but as we often hav children with us they then play in playground we eat hav ice cream etc then go round again to see what animals up to later in the day.

What is the car park like is it secure ? Thinking of using before we check into our caravan later this year !

I cannot really add to the comments from the other two users. If you are taking your caravan here it may be worth just going across to the kiosk and asking of you can park on the coach park part of the car park so as you can park long ways. It will depend on if they have any coach parties due but worth asking the question.

Thrigby is about 3-4 miles from the nearest mooring on the Bure. The best is probably at Stokesby Ferry. This is Norfolk, there will almost certainly be no public transport. Walking on the busy but single track roads will not be an option especially if you have children. Taxis will charge to come out from Acle (pronounced A-cull) and then charge again to get you to Thrigby. The same coming back. Expensive but with a booked taxi do-able. The beer and the food at the Ferryboat in at Stokesby are both excellent. Enjoy your trip.
