"GOMOKH TEMPLE" complex is situated on the rim of the top of the crater and is the first temple the visitor sights after entering the main gate of "Lonar wildlife sanctuary ". There is a eternal water stream(Dhar) in one of the tanks(Kunda) and hence this temple is also called "Dhar Kunda" in local Marathi language. The Dhar(Stream) is considered holy and devotees bathe in it. The 220 Steps leading down to the base of Lonar Lake bank begins from this temple site.

Good place to visit. it will be en route while descending to Lonar lake. At temple you can take bath in gaumukh kund.

This temple hides behind its entrance the main route to the bottom of the Lonar crater.
Specialty of this place is the 24/7/365 flow of water from an underground spring that is said to owe its genesis to the asteroid impact that created the crater and the lake within.

The temple has a water outlet which never ceases to flow all round the year the source and destination is still baffling the experts today. A true architectural marvel.

Gomukh temple are present in the over of crater Lake rhim,,this temple is built by Yadava,, before,1000years ago,,this is a natural water source,,,but anybody not defined,,where is the main source of incoming of water,this is a cold water source,,,you want to bath with natural water shower,you go and take it,this water use by local people for drinking,,also water is sweet water like that a filter water,,if you have any information about, please call 9975447088(Amol sardar) MTDC Authorize guide,,

This is the start point of Lonar Crator lake. Legend says that this fresh water source was created by Saints. This temple is neat and clean and there are very few tourist there.
Crater lake looks fantastic from there and Stairs leading to OLD Yagneshwar temple is the start point of Lonar Trek.
A good Visit.

There is a small waterfall situated as part of another temple complex which looks down on to the lake. There's a pool several adherents can bathe and its this water that runs out through the waterfall. You can go a long way down the gorge via many steps to view the lake from another angle. Not much else to see or photograph.

Go there, if you have a chance, and try to find a time of the day, when there is nobody there except you ... and in your head a whole fairy tale will evolve if you allow for it ...

this is a point from where you vie the lonar crater.
most guides will tell you that this is the only way to view it since going down is dangerous
DO NOT TRUST THEM.
Go to the MTDC tourist bungalow and ask for a guide, he will take you down and its another world all together den there.
