No systems,no management,authorities should manage the temple in such a way that priligrimage should get devotional feelings

With all due respect to Lord Shiva, the almighty!
You willl reach this place easily. But then, its chaos. The temple is terribly managed, no cleanliness, no sanity nothing. Insan bimar ho jaye Shivji se pohonchne se pehle. I went on a Saturday, so it was crowded. I had the worst experience. A day before I went to Prati Balaii and omg, that temple is so well managed. But this one ? Don't go unless it's a very odd day.

This is a beautiful place. You can make offerings on the shivling. If you reach early, you will avoid the crowd. The place is a little secluded. Mobile network is very weak. The route is desolate. So, if you are there before dawn, you risk losing the way. Phone navigation apps might not work (because of network), there are not enough signboards. Besides, there is no decent restaurant around the temple.

One of the 12 jyotirling. Tru visiting on weekdays. Avoid Saturdays and Sundays due to heavy footfall. If you stand in normal que , it may take as long as 3-4 hours.yoi get VIP PASS @ INR 500/-.

#भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग महाराष्ट्र...
आठवां ज्योतिर्लिंग है मंदिर सुबह 5:30 बजे खुलता है। पूना से 120 किलोमीटर है, नासिक से 205 किलोमीटर है मंदिर सुबह 5:30 बजे खुलता है इस समय शिवलिंग बिना चांदी के आवरण का होता है 6:00 बजे शिवलिंग पर चांदी का आवरण लगा दिया जाता है। कुंभकरण के पुत्र का नाम भीम था ,कुंभकरण की मृत्यु के बाद भीम अपने पिता के मृत्यु बदला लेने के लिए राम की हत्या के लिए आतुर हुआ तथा तपस्या की ब्रह्मा जी ने उन्हें विजय होने का वरदान दिया देवताओं ने भगवान शिव को भीम को हराने का आग्रह किया भगवान शिव ने भीम को युद्ध में परास्त किया देवता ने भगवान शिव को वही विराजने का आग्रह किया। नजदीक रेलवे स्टेशन पुणे है जहां से बस टैक्सी उपलब्ध है। अगस्त और फरवरी के बीच जाएं। फोटोग्राफी की मनाही है। हम मार्च 2023 में गए, इस समय मंदिर जाने वाली करीबन 250 सीड़िया है जो कि काफी चौड़ी है कम ऊंचाई की है उनका निर्माण हो रहा था जिसके कारण पास कच्ची पगडंडी से जाने का रास्ता बना हुआ था। वहां खाने की कोई व्यवस्था नहीं है। करीबन 10 किलोमीटर पहले एमटीडीसी का रिसोर्ट है ,जहां पर खाना खाया जा सकता है पर वहां भी खाने के ज्यादा विकल्प नहीं है ।भीमा नदी मंदिर के बाहर है जहां वे कुंड में दिखती है ।मंदिर का शिखर मराठा काल का है जो कि नाना फडणवीस ने बनवाया था। बंदर बहुत हैं हाथ में खाने की कोई वस्तु या बैग हो तो छीन लेते हैं ।यहां पंचामृत अभिषेक, अभिषेक, रुद्राभिषेक, संपूर्ण अभिषेक होते हैं। हमने पंडित संतोष गुरुजी से रुद्राभिषेक करवाया यहां अभिषेक की रेट मंदिर ट्रस्ट की तरफ से फिक्स है हमने 2100 में प्रति फैमिली रुद्राभिषेक करवाया उनका फोन नंबर 94221 33959 है ।मंदिर का गर्भ ग्रह में छह व्यक्ति एक साथ अभिषेक कर सकते हैं। मंडपम काफी बड़ा है यहां एक साथ एक सौ व्यक्ति बैठकर जाप कर सकते हैं ।मंदिर के बाहर फूल माला एवं प्रसाद तथा जड़ी बूटियों की दुकानें हैं कलाकंद भी काफी की भी काफी दुकानें हैं अभिषेक के लिए फूल एवं पूजा की सामग्री की टोकरी ₹70 की है। बस स्टैंड मंदिर के पास ही है।

Bhimshankar baba is located in sahayadri mountain range , a Serene location near Pune. Car parking is a little more than a km away . However there are young lads offering to take you close to the Mandir on their bikes , get Darshan and drop you back to car park for 2000 INR. Straight forward service and avoids the ghat road walking for those applicable . Swami Darshan was straight forward . We see Nandi, baba and sani bhagwan. The kalakand sold for a mere 100 INR for 250 gms is one of the best I have had . A must try .
The MtDC hotel about 9 Kms away from temple is basic basic but handy for a nearby stay . Overall no complaints.Har jar maha dev.

when we reached around 2 kms before temple they stopped us and said only busses are available to go there. It was v hot, they packed us into rickety buses without AC and the ride was like a roller coaster with no excitement. Guess for 10Rs thats all we can expect. Steps going down were lined both sides by pedha sellers and aarti items. If u dont mind the gloveless hands, can try the pedhas which are vvery tasty. towards the temple..it started stinking and floors were broken and not maintained well. We got abhishek of 2 secs and pushed out even though there was no rush. Paid 500 to panditji for the abhishekham. False sense of urgency and chaos is created at the jyotirlinga hence all thoughts of praying flies away. I request the govt to bring some discipline and rein in corruption at such highly spiritual hindu temple sites

Originally there were believed to be 64 jyotirlings while twelve of them are considered to be very auspicious and holy. Each of the twelve jyotirlinga sites take the name of the presiding deity, each considered a different manifestation of Shiva.
At all these sites, the primary image is lingam, representing the beginningless and endless stambha pillar, symbolising the infinite nature of Shiva.
Bhimashankar is an ancient shrine, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of Shiva. Far away from the tumult of urban life, peeping through the white clouds, Bhimashankar can be termed a pilgrim's paradise. Apart from this the Bhima river flows adjacent to the temple and there is a bhima kund.
It was a divine experience visiting Bhimashankar Jyotirlinga. Beautiful rock cut carving and idols of God on the wall of the temple describing various mythological stories.
One needs to climb down almost 200 stairs to reach the temple but the stairs are very comfortable and easy. There are shops for Prasad, restaurants, flowers, ayurvedic medicine and other shops.
One can also take Doli to temple with paying some charges to skip the steps.
There is a big parking lot at the beginning of the stairs. There is a toilet and food stalls and other shops around the parking lot. It's paid parking (Rs. 50).
Nandi ji is located outside the temple and also just outside the grabhghra where the main jyotirlinga is located. There is an idol of Lord Ganesha and Lord Kalbharav (shetrapal) on the entrance gate.
A turtle as a symbol of Lord kuber is located in the main hall and there is a lord Shani temple just outside the main hall.
You can do jal abhishek in the temple during the day at the specified time slots. You can sit in the main hall to do pooja and meditation.
You should also visit the Bhima river origination place just 100m from the place where stairs start. The river originates from a small kund. There is a temple dedicated to lord bhrama, Vishnu, Shiva, chandrma, Surya adjacent to the origination pond.
Apart from this there is an Anjani mata temple dedicated to lord Hanuman ji and few view points you can visit.
This place is very sacred and divine. Just one request if you visit please maintain cleanliness, do not litter around and maintain peace.

First caught a bus to Shivaji Nagar bus stand from Pune railway station for rs.10,then found the direct bus to bhimashankar temple from Shivaji Nagar bus stand for rs.185 it took 4 hrs of time for journey, had a very long queue , took the special darshan for rs 500 per head took just 10 mins for darshan

If you start from Goregaon/Andheri at 12 midnight, you will reach by 6AM.

Does Mumbai to Bhimashankar route has heavy ghats section? (Not Lonavala / Khandala, I am asking if there are more difficult or steep ghats on the way?)

There are some steep section but those are easily manageable. I started from Navi Mumbai at 5 am, so when I reached bhimashankar traffic was minimal.

Is their a bus service from nashik to bhimashankar temple?
Hi, we are 6 members with 3 kids and want to travel from nashik to bhimashankar. I am unable to find any MSRTC bus online from Nashik to Bhimashankar. Can anyone guide us as we want to reach bhimashankar in the evening?

From Nashik to Bhimashankar the distance is 4 hr 39 min (179.5 km) via MH SH 112.
With family and kids, I will suggest you to go by outstation car ir car on hire by road. It will be a comfortable and smooth ride, there’s so many decent & hygienic restaurants and food joints with clean washrooms.
Just carry some dry snacks and water bottles with you.

U can get direct busrs from Pune shivaji nagar bus stand to bhima shankar temple for every 1 hr so no need of booking, return is also possible in the same way as buses are available both ways
please guide how to go from nashik to bhimashankar

you should go to Pune first.
From Pune, hire taxi or take Bus Facility From Pune(Shivajinagar S.T. Stand) bus stand.

Dear Sir, I am sorry , but you need to have self arrangements with you and if possible have one extra person to help @ stairs. There is facility for physically challenged person, but hard to get it. If you are lucky enough then you can get from administration, but it,s better if you have your own. Om namah shiway...
How far is the temple from bhimashankar bus stop and how can we reach to the temple

From ST Bus Stop, temple is hard 250-500 mtrs and can be easily walked. Once you reach temple, there is down hill to main Lingam which can be either travelled thru some 200 steps or thru down hill easy slope + 25/30 steps.
For indication - My father age 72 was able to do it even though he has problems taking too many steps. So i guess many senior citizens who are able to walk 1km or climb 1 or 2 floor should be able to do it.
