A very impressive walk through a piece of history which should really be mandatory for everyone. All this in a very well-kept environment and under the guidance of a number of enthusiastic volunteers. Very rewarding.

The Memory liberation museum in Nijverdal is very worthwhile! You literally walk through history. From the end of WWI, interwar to WWII with ample attention to regional history. The space where you imagine yourself in a bunker in Normandy is very impressive when attacked by the Allies.

A beautiful museum, where the WW2 is depicted in different sections with a lot of text, but just as many objects. Much of the material comes from an avid collector, who has formed the basis for the museum. The volunteers are very helpful and always ready to answer questions. The movie of D-Day is fun, with moving floor and loud noises.

Educational museum about WWII. The coffin route is also very fun and interesting for children. Also many preserved items from the war displayed in beautiful scenes. Top

A beautifully designed museum that lets you experience what it was like during wartime. A special film about D-day was also shown. Highly recommended for young and old.

This museum relies on 80 volunteers, which says something about how the Second World War played out in this area and the involvement of residents of Nijverdal and the surrounding area.
Museum is bigger than I thought upon entering.
The theme of WWII is always fascinating as it has left many traces in the present. The museum has quite a lot of stuff. I thought it was a shame that not everything was authentic, especially during the first part.
Furthermore, the number of information boards could be better distributed throughout the exhibition. Now you have a lot of information in the beginning and you are already a bit tired of hanging in front of those signs before you get to the objects. For a Freedom Museum, I thought that the exhibition should have paid more attention to liberation and freedom. That part feels run-down. Nevertheless, a museum that is fascinating to see once.
All employees are very friendly, happy to provide further explanation and make contact with you on their own. The museum also makes a neat impression on me.

Zeer leerzaam museum, niet alleen een goede collectie maar ook een opvallend dynamische presentatie. Veel aandacht aan besteedt. Zeer betrokken vrijwilligers. Absolute aanrader

Museum bezocht met onze 2 dochters van 4 en 7. Op een indrukwekkende en aangrijpende manier mee terug genomen naar de Tweede Wereldoorlog. Voor kinderen is er een kistjestocht (zie website), die en boeiend is, en ze op hun niveau vertelt over de oorlog. Normaal gesproken verliezen ze meestal snel hun aandacht, maar op deze manier werd het interessant en informatief gebracht. De vrijwilligers zijn erg behulpzaam en vertellen aanvullende verhalen. Nadien konden de kinderen nog een (vredes)duif schilderen.
Echt een aanrader en dus ook heel goed te doen met (jongere) kinderen.

Vandaag (22-04) zijn wij naar dit museum geweest. Mijn vriend (25) en ik (22) hebben hier ongeveer 1,5/2 uur rond gelopen. De vrijwilligers vertellen graag hen verhaal. Er is veel te zien, maar het is vooral veel lezen.
Er is ook een filmpje te zien met effecten.
Mijn vriend en ik hebben ons heel erg vermaakt. De vrijwilligers zijn super aardig, en delen graag hun kennis.

Heeft u misschien in het museum een noodrantsoen blikje koffie van buisman in uw arch lef? Het kan ongeveer 50 jaar geleden in het leger in omloop zijn geweest.
