My husband and I organised the Cream Tea Tour experience for my mum’s 78th birthday as well as a surprise for my little boy. It was such a memorable day from beginning to end.
It was fascinating to hear all about the McQuistin’s working farm and wonderful coos. It was so clear how much they mean to the family and business and the passion for everything the family have achieved.
Everything was perfect today, my little boy especially enjoyed meeting Bobby the coo and the scrumptious bakes.
The experience was exceptional value for money with in-depth tour to meet the coos as well as delicious cream tea.
The gift shop was delightful with many tasteful merchandise for all ages.
My family highly recommended the experience for all ages. We will be booking again to visit in Spring to meet the wee coos when they arrive.

Kitchen Coos & Ewes is truly the experience of a lifetime from start to finish! Neale & Janet go above & beyond, inviting their guests right into their home & on their farm to give them a highland cow experience you will not find anywhere else! Right away we felt so comfortable & as if we knew them forever. They were fully prepared to accommodate all our wishes & requests to ensure we were getting the most out of our tour. We were given the opportunities to be up close & personal with more than 20 highland cows with plenty of chances to capture the perfect moments. Even going as far as Neale actually getting some of the coos to pose for us!! It’s was truly an emotional experience, being in such a beautiful land with so many of these magnificent animals. The entire time, all of our questions were answered with such enthusiasm. We learned so much in such a fun way! You can feel & see how much they love what they do, how well their animals are taken care of, & how hard they work to give their guests the experience of a lifetime. From a delicious lunch, a wee gift shop, prints, & so much more, you will be in highland cow HEAVEN!!

SUCH a brilliant afternoon, it was a 700 mile round trip for us to come here and it was so so worth it.
The tour was interesting, and funny, and the hosts were so accommodating and kind and the coos…. Gorgeous!

We visited Kitchen Coos and Ewes as part of the cream tea coo tour.
We were given directions that were easy to follow, and arrived at the welcome meeting in plenty of time.
The hosts were very friendly and welcoming to the whole tour greeting all individually as we arrived. The tour began with a general explanation of what was going to happen as well as the safety information and then we were off.
The tour consists of us in a open sided trailer pulled by a tractor on to the fields to see up to 30 various highland cattle. We were allowed on many occasions to photograph the cows and all along we were told about each individual cow, the farm and all the relevant information regarding the breed. The knowledge given was fantastic on all levels and the photos we got were amazing.
We were also given a demonstration of a sheep dog at work which was excellent.
If this wasn’t enough we then all spent the rest of the afternoon with tea or coffee and a selection of sandwiches and cakes, which I must say was one of the best afternoon tea’s we have had.
This is a fantastic tour, laid on by people who care about what they are doing and I would recommend this or the other tours they have on offer.
When we are in the area next we plan to do the walking tour, so well done to all the team.

Seeing these beautiful animals outside roaming the fields , posing for pics was brilliant. The tour is really well presented and was very informative, any questions were answered, really had a brilliant time and the high tea was superb, well worth the journey to see this.

Coos that pose for pictures - who would have known? We didn't know that some of our coos were supermoodels until we started to take our guests out to meet them. Really glad you enjoyed the whole experience. Thank you.

Took my 3 year old son for a tour and he loved it! The owners were excellent and friendly, the tour was very interesting and informative too.

I purchased this as a birthday gift for my mum who is obsessed with Highland cows and, although unfortunately I couldn't make it myself, my parents had an amazing experience interacting with the cows. My mum was talking about it for the entire day after! The tour hosts were super friendly and knowledgeable and my parents said the tea and biscuits after was lovely. I will definitely be visiting again next time I return to the UK!

An amazing birthday present and experience. Neil & Janet and their helpers were perfect hosts, friendly, interested in all of their guests and very welcoming.
The tour was informative in a fun way, learning about the lineage of the herd, their personalities, the local eco system and how the farm worked.
The afternoon tea was home made and delicious, not too much which I like.
Thank you for a fun filled and different 'safari', I would certainly recommend this to anyone who has an interest in these amazing Highland Coo's.

Amazing day out at a family run farm. The afternoon tea was incredible and would highly recommend. Plenty of animals and great fun for all the family!

Had an amazing afternoon, lots of great info about the cows and we got to brush and interact with some at the end. The trailer is a great way to see them during the day and provides lots of opportunities for great photos. Staff were all fantastic cannot recommend it enough.

Thank you very much for getting in touch. We can be very flexible about how often and which days of the week we offer our tours. Your question is very helpful as it helps us to build up a better picture of where the demand is. We intend to publish more tour dates for September on our website very soon and based on your question we will schedule some tours for weekends. In the short term - if there was a particular day that suited a small group then we would do everything we could to try and accommodate.
