We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tour and tasting at Upper Reach - beautiful winery, great experience, and we both learned a lot of new information about wine.
We stayed for a most enjoyable lunch - everything was good, and probably one of the best pork dishes I can remember eating.
Highly recommended- thanks to all the team who helped make it so enjoyable

Had a great tasting of Upper Reach's excellent wines. Most wines are grown in the Swan Valley and have a recognisable provenance. The light white wines are terrific for a hot summer day but the verdeho is exceptional with a cheese board which we consumed on the shady outdoor deck. It was a brilliant experience with our Eastern states visitors who agreed it was one of the most pleasant vineyards they had visited.

Enjoyed a delicious Chardonnay sitting on the deck nice and cool under the tree with great view of the vineyard with wife and friends. Best Chard in WA.

The family took time off on a Friday to enjoy the $65 3 course mid-week lunch. We scored a table on the balcony overlooking the vines. The lunch was delicious (I loved my octopus and spiced lamb) with each course carefully crafted, the views and weather perfect.
Before the lunch we did a full range tasting. Laura is always generous and friendly! We ended up purchasing, with the standout for us – the Reserve Chardy, and the Wilyabrup Cabernet! Highly recommended!

I stayed at the winery cottage. It was one of the best cottage experience. Amazing amenities, near the exit road, and there’s even mulberry trees beside. They also put wine in the cottage for our convenience and they trust us to transact after our stay.

Sunday Lunch at Upper Reach restaurant was very disappointing! Main course of breadcrumbed shark fillets was small, overpriced portions. Tiny filets of shark were over-cooked and rubbery. Four small pieces sitting on a small bed of lettuce with a squirt of some kind of mayonnaise $39.00. Not good.
My wife's crispy skin chicken was a tiny portion of over cooked and chewy chicken thigh. $39.00.
Vegetables were an extra $12.
I would definitely not recommend this restaurant.
Poor Value. Over priced.

Hi Cliff,
We're all so very sorry that you didn't enjoy lunch.
I wish that you'd let us know on Sunday, we could have sorted it out for you; we had no idea that you weren't happy.
We don't have shark on the menu, so you must have ordered the crumbed whiting fillets, these are line caught at Shark Bay in WA.
The whiting is served on almond cream underneath and then topped with chicory, fennel, caper and Yarra Valley caviar...there isn't any lettuce nor mayo on it.
We use local, line caught fish, that we skin, bone and fillet ourselves- so very much a handmade process & trying to be as sustainable as possible.
Whiting is a smaller fish, so we put 4 or 5 fillets onto each dish (depending on the size).
We are sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience and we hope you give us another try.

We always love visiting this beautiful family owned and run winery, the wines are exceptional! We especially love the reserve Chardonnay and the reserve Shiraz- they are excellent value for how good they are!
The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the grounds are beautiful- so many options of places to sit and relax and enjoy your wine!
We have been members for years now and love attending the concerts where you can BYO picnic.

Good wine tasting, an excellent cab sav.
Meals were lovely with a beautiful restaurant view over the vineyard.

Hi, was wondering whether to book table at the restaurant for a twilight concert, all the decking is already booked, so would we be better off just bringing a picnic and getting there early for a good spot?
Any thoughts please

Either option will be great- you can still get down to the dance floor in front of the band from the restaurant- if you want to dance.... if you do bring a picnic- bring a rug rather than chairs...you can sit right at the front (chairs to the rear of venue)
