Discovered this beach while out for an afternoon drive exploring the area and it was so nice we had to stop. Beautiful views, soft white sand and really clean. We ended up staying and relaxing longer than planned!

We loved our day trip to Bayswater Beach. It was peaceful and everyone respected the social distancing rules. We went on the weekend and we were pleasantly surprised to find great parking. There are 2 bathrooms right at the entrance which was very helpful after the hour drive from Dartmouth. There are two walkways that lead you directly to the beach all within about 20 steps from the parking. Great for those who find it difficult to walk far or if you have a lot of baggage to carry with you. The white sandy beach was so beautiful and inviting. There's plenty of space to walk along the beach and like I said more than enough space to maintain your privacy and keep your group separate from others. The beach is very very clean and everyone was so friendly- people walked by smiled and said hello. Nova Scotia at it's finest! Definitely will be returning very soon!!!

This small park has a circular drive all around the park so access to any of the very many picnic tables and charcoal grills is easy. The significant grassy area allows dogs and kids area to frolic. The beach pictured here is right across the highway and is fun for a short walk and gorgeous views.
Access for much of the fall and all of the winter is restricted to walk ins or park at the beach and walk across as the road and beach services are closed by a cable.

The sand is great. The grandkids make witch castles. Swimming is fantastic with slight waves. It is monitored by lifeguards. There is great food available there at great prices. Across the road is a picnic area with tables so you can eat your meal without the addition of sand.

A very good beach day with the kids in early August. The beach was lovely, the kids had a great time playing in the sand. The water was a bit cold for early August. The toilets could do with some sprucing up! A touch untidy there! Lifeguard was on duty and seemed to be very pro-active which is good to see!

A little beach. Really not much more than that. Seems to have mainly locals. Disappointing. One end of the beach had a warning about dangerous bacteria in the water! The other end had a strong sulphuric smell.... sand is grey, lots of seaweed.
Sorry just can’t find anything positive to say about this place :(

Great beach, nice little fish and chip van on site. No bathrooms which wasn’t the greatest. We got there at 10AM, nice and quiet and by 1PM it was fairly busy. Definitely recommend moving further to the right where it’s quieter. Parking wasn’t horrible and neither was getting out. It’s a good beach. Little quieter than Queensland beach and the water was warm enough for a quick dip. Great for couples, groups and families.

We made a quick stop while we were driving along. It was a small beach with nice white sand. They had bathrooms available, or places you can change into your bathing suit if you dare go in the cold Ocean. We were there beginning of June and it was freezing! My husband had his feet in the water, but that was about it. Although if you have children I’m sure they would brave the water as we seen some kids running in and out.
It would be a nice day out, just bring a picnic!

We love to come here for the picnic park as well as the beach, and we bring all house-guests here. The sand is fine and white, and some of it "sings"!

A beach with fine sand and calm waters. Not crowded especially at the end of the beach. There's a parking lot with a pair of outhouses at each end that also functions as your change room. The Friday afternoon we visited, the outhouses were unbearably smelly. There is no outdoor shower to rinse off so be prepared for that. There's a picnic spot across the street from the beach.
