Fabulous day out, great value. A couple of hours wandering the grounds, enjoying the artwork and a relaxing, splendid lunch to break it up. Highly recommended.

The McClelland Sculpture Park is in Langwarrin, about an hour's drive from Melbourne. The Scupture Park has about 40 acres (16 ha) of gardens and natural bushland. Over 100 massive pieces can be found in the park, they are well worth a look. It's a popular day out, especially for people on the Mornington Peninsula.

This has been a great benifit throughout lockdown. Unfortunatly they have decided to charge $6 entry per person , which means that for a casual coffee it will be the most expensive coffee in Frankston .
Today at 10.00am the gate was closed and cars were queueing to get in. A phone call was needed to discover that the 'park is closed due to storm damage" When asked why a notice could not be put on the gates we were told that "its all over social media" I just looked and could find nothing - does that mean its open tomorrow ????
So irittating that its too much trouble to do the simple things for some people. Apparently you need to check Facebook before getting a coffee. So sad.
IF THE GALLERY REALLY BELONGS TO THE COMMUNITY AS STATED , THE MARKETING NEEDS A RETHINK.

Cheap entry, plenty of parking, nice tranquil area to take your time walking round with plenty of interesting pieces to see.
Thai chicken pie from the cafe was amazing!
Was disappointed in the very little detail on the plaque of the sculptures, and some plaques were faced and unreadable. Also, one or two if the hanging sculptures on the back of the gallery could use a light air compressor to blow away all the cobwebs.
Was there the same time as a primary school excursion, which made me spend more time reading in the cafe instead of outside amongst the art and nature. Obviously not a problem that can be managed, just unfortunate.

The McClelland Gallery and Sculpture Park in Langwarrin is 40kms from Melbourne. You can discover more than 100 massive sculptures by famous Australian sculptors throughout 16 hectares of bush and gardens.
The Bushwalk was organised by Gunditjmara Kirrae Wurrung-Bundjalung man and artist Lionel Lauch, from Living Culture. During this one hour guided cultural walk, Lionel introduced the group to indigenous trees and weeds and their medicinal purposes. He also explained the philosophy of Indigenous culture and finished with a yidaki sound meditation.(called wrongly ’didgeridoo’) .A fantastic and unusual walk.

This park combines the natural beauty of it's surroundings with the impressive sculptures. There is a modest entry fee of $6, which you can book in advance. The park has an indoor gallery with 3 rooms to view. The remainder of the sculptures are scattered around the park, so the map you are given on entry is useful. You can bring a picnic and enjoy it by the lake or visit the café which provides tasty fare.

This sculpture park does not appear to be promoted on the Touring Map of the Mornington Peninsula yet it is an outstanding free attraction (it is on google).
The grounds are extensive and there is plenty to see, the Tree of Life mobile alone makes it worth while. There’s a gift shop and cafe where you can get a map of the exhibits but we found many more by wandering off the tracks. A great way to spend a sunny afternoon.

Great affordable attraction to bring the kids to let off steam. The outdoor sculptures are interesting and quirky. The indoor gallery is a bit meh and not really great for kids.
But I would highly recommend bringing a picnic and enjoying the sculptures set within bushland.
The highlight for my kids was the stone Labyrinth.
TIP: grab map at front desk
TIP: gold coin donation
TIP: only one small bin at entrance as they request you take rubbish with you.

We took our visitors from Queensland to this delightfully cool retreat on a quiet afternoon in summer. Coffee and cake in the beautifully appointed cafe was followed by a walk in the sculpture park. My daughter in law is an artist in her own right and was enthralled by the range of talent on display, We all enjoyed the tress and the natural surrounds as well as the variety of sculptures . A lovely relaxing afternoon. All staff members were kind and helpful and we all felt welcome
