トライシクルで行きました。
街の中は排気ガスの臭いがありますが、ここは山頂なのでとても空気が澄んでいます。
基本的には日本軍戦没者慰霊碑がある公園ですが、公園内はとても整備がされています。
地元の人たちには、家族でピクニックをする場所としても人気があるそうです。

We went there at around 8am and there were only few people that time. There were numerous benches to stay on. But what's unfortunate is the unavailability of the CR. Visitors will be forced to leave the place just to use CR.

We were staying at the Caliraya Lake Resort and went for a walk where we came across the entrance to the gardens. They cover a large area and have a number of paths taking you through. July is probably not the best time to experience the gardens, but we had a nice stroll around them. Plenty of staff involved in sweeping paths and general maintence activity.

I give an average rating because of the mess that I see in multiple places. You pay 20P per persoon at entrance and I wonder why they can't clean piles of plastic bottles. Even in the pond near the lillies. Of course people shouldnt throw it in the first place but even then. For the rest it is a nice place of traquility. But to come all the way from Manila for this? I live in Laguna nearby with car, but I wouldn't ride public transporatation from Manila if one does not combine with other activiteis in the area.

I recommend this place if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life. You can enter the garden for a small fee of P20.00 pesos per person. The place is quiet and peaceful. The garden is beautiful and well maintained. The only drawback is that there are no restaurants near the place (just one small store). I should have brought some food since the place is also good for picnics.

Silent and peaceful. Thats what you get when walking/hiking in Japanese Garden. You get closer to nature and enjoy listening the birds chirping :) Daytrip is advised as the garden has few lights. Wear sneakers as well. :)

In order to get here from the bustling city of Manila, one must ride a 3-4 hours bus ride to Sta. Cruz (Php140), Laguna then ride a jeepney bound to Lumot. The Lumot jeepneys can be found at the Sta. Cruz market. To get there, one need to ride a tricycle that is roughly around Php 20-40/person. You need to huggle to get a better price. The jeepney ride will last for about 30-45 minutes. Ensure that you inform the driver to drop you off the Japanese Garden. You won't miss it because its along the road.
Upon arrival, one must pay P20/person. The place is great for a relaxing lazy afternoon stroll or picnic. It is also huge and green. There are a lot of big trees that one can get shade from the sun. Downside is, there are some trash due to some people who doesn't know how to throw their garbage because there are trash bin everywhere that are empty.
I hope that the admin of the place can educate their visitors to keep and help maintain the place litter free.

On how to get there, take the Kalayaan-Lumban-Cavinti Road passing along Lake Caliraya leading to the site. This is the shorter and more direct route. Do not go to Cavinti town as this will take longer by almost an hour.
The Japanese Garden was built in remembrance of the Japanese soldiers who died during World War II. The remains of Gen. Yamashita, and his treasure is also rumored to be here.
If you want relaxation, and to lounge around and have a picnic, with a spectacular view of Lake Caliraya, the Japanese Garden will not disappoint you. The park is very spacious and you could walk around and be soothed by the sight of many trees and lush plants. There are benches all around where you could rest and have snacks after exploring the place.

great place to relax and refresh from a hassle life. ^^
by just simply strolling & lying in the green grass you will find inner tranquility mostly when you are in the top where you can see the amazing view of lake & trees. good place to relax and have peaceful moments with your loved one. ;)

The place just gives you that serene feeling even by just walking around the shade or staring at the reflections of the leafless trees in the waters of the man made lagoon seems to transport you to another place and time
