We had such a great time with Dimitri! He was the perfect host and Captain and took us to places we would have never seen on land! He was well educated and we learned a lot about the island of Crete! Plus, his English was perfect! We saw wonderful locations, swam in the blue water, and enjoyed beverages. What a way to spend a few hours while we were on vacation. I highly recommend Notos Mare and would take another boat ride with Dimitri and the company again! Plus, the boat selection was amazing. We found one that fit the four of us perfectly! Thanks again!

Schon von zu Hause aus hatte ich ein Boot gemietet.
Unkomplizierter Buchungsvorgang, sichere Bezahlung.
Anschließend kamen sofort per Mail die Bestätigung und weitere Infos.
Gute Wegbeschreibung fürs Handy über Google Maps.
Sehr netter Empfang, geduldige Einweisung inklusive erster kurzer Fahrt mit Begleitung, das fand ich gut.
Bei Rückkehr wurden wir erwartet inklusive Hilfe beim „Einparken“.
Ein super Tag, sehr zu empfehlen

Money is gone, when booking selected departure port was changed, cancellation 1day before not possible. Don't book!!

Perfect for first time wanna be Captians! As a complete novice with no boating license, the 30hp 4-6 rental was perfect. The boat hire itself was very easy to book, either through contact page or their online system (the price is excluding fuel usage - read on). We booked a hire from the marine port of Kolymbari as we were along by Agia Marine area of Chania.
At the marine, after producing valid ID (driving license or passport) youre given the option of a €15 insurance excess waver which limits your excess to €400 if you need to claim, but unless youre a complete numpty and being silly, there isnt anything to hit really so save your euros. The working of the boat are explained well, and operating the boat is easy. 30hp is decent enough and can get you around all day. We opted for a full day hire which meant we could take plenty of time along the coastline.
Your route is provided for you via the Boat Angel app and shows you where youre heading from/to, there a few scenic stop along the route and plenty of swimming opportunities in crystal clear waters. Just make sure you have roaming data available. Signal is pretty good all along the coaatline as long are your not far away off the coast.
Upon return, a slow entry into the marina is a must as not to create waves. Your fuel is topped back up to full thus giving your total usage in litres then cahrged accordingly. At the time of writing it was 2€ per liter, we used 24 ltrs so we had a final bill of €48 to pay, but we did head all the way upto Paralia Menies and back, then along the coast to the island just off Chania called Agioi Theodoroi. On average youd use 12-15 ltrs if just going up and back down the coast.
So all in all, highly recommended for a good day out at your own liesure. Just remember to take provisions and a batter pack (although there was a usb charge port on ours)

good service but the BWA boat needs complete renovation and maintenance. it is the 4 times i am renting this boat in the last 3 years, and the boat needs complete repair and maintenance : one motor was stopping at Neutral gear, no electric ancor, on matress missing at the front, some broken parts...nothing has been done to renovate in the last 2 years....so i will stop renting this boat till renovated and look at renting the Marvel instead (electric ancor needs repair as well).

We had a fantastic half day boat hire from Marathi beach. The hire was from 9.30 until 2pm which for us as a family of 5 was more than enough time in the hot summer heat. We were given precise instructions on how to use the boat, they do take the captain(main driver) out for 10 mins in the bay just to get your confidence up with the boat and everything felt very safe. There were plenty of lovely areas to anchor the boat and go snorkelling, you can hire snorkels from the boat hire for 5 euros each. Fuel is not included so you start with a full tank and they then fill it back up once you have finished and you are charged for how much you used, in our case it was 16 euros, this obviously depends on how far you decide to travel. Would highly recommend and will certainly be using again when we return. One other thing, on returning the boat you receive a free gift which is a coupon for a free chocolate desert from a Coffee/Desert Koukouvaya restaurant which is on the way back from Marathi beach just off the main road past the airport, you just pop in and hand them the coupon and they hand it over, amazing cake and equally amazing place and the views over Chania are amazing. Forgot to mention Veranda Taverna when you return the boat, well worth stopping in for a drink or food.

A great experience- we explored the coast line from the base- we felt that the limit on how far you could go was plenty to take up a whole day. You need to download the navigation app but it’s brilliant. Good briefing given on the basics of using the boat. Agios Pavlov beach has a sand bottom for anchoring and swimming ashore if you fancy enjoying a beach to yourself for a while. Bring hats and plenty of water!

My husband and I rented boats from several companies in Crete but Notos Mare was by far the best! The staff was amazingly nice, very helpful. The 80 HP boat was way beyond expectations. We could stay a whole day and it was the best day in Crete! I recommend with all confidence. Next time we come to Crete we will rent from them for at least 3 days! The children had the most beautiful day of the vacation!

Great half day boat trip! There are plenty of spots to stop off at and have a swim and an app you can use directing you to the best places to drop anchor. Crystal clear warm water. The boat briefing was very thorough. Great company, highly recommend.

Thanks to Notos Mare for hosting and training the handling of a boat without a license rented by the day. By downloading the app, you will have access to the beaches and coves around Marathi. We were able to discover very beautiful sites as well as some crystal clear waters. It is a great experience and we are delighted. We paid 42€ of fuel for 20 litres consumed. These are very competitive Awards. Once again, thank you to the team.
