Hi Theo, We are making some changes with our business Partnership structure at the moment and also in the process of making a new website, so we haven't renewed our website hosting provider, this is why our site is not accessible at the moment. It might be a while before we go live again with a new website. never the less we will be operating in August. As for whale watching, this is something we don't personally offer because i don't like to be in completion with the small local community business that rely on offering these trips for themselves. Actually i would say the best time for this is March/April. I can help organise a trip for you once you are here. Theres no need to book this a head of time. As for diving at Pigeon Island. I don't dive there because personally its just not worth it. The diving is better elsewhere in the area. The island is only idea for snorkelling because its shallow( 1-4 meters) It does get deeper but really theres not much to see. However I would say you have a much better chance to see small blacktop sharks there, which you wouldn't necessarily see outside the island. however again you can see this better by snorkelling. Hi Dev, Great to hear from you and happy to answer your questions, I can certainly organise diving for you with us at AquaCreed Scuba and also whale watching with a local company i work with on these trips. I've not heard much recently if their has been any Whales spotted, should be Dolphins around and would say whales are not necessarily seen on every trip. As a single traveller these trips can also be expense unless it can be shared with other people and can only know when you are actually here. I recently organise it for three people and the cost was if i remember right around 23,000/25,000 LKR if you wanted to snorkel with the whales. My best wishes. Jez
