A great structure with a staff that respects the well-being of the horse, super nice horses and a super rewarding discovery ride!
I highly recommend, the staff is attentive, even for people who have never ridden a horse

Passing for a wedding anniversary weekend, we loved this 4h outing in Marquenterre Park and on the beach. I specify that all riders had the confirmed level to be able to gallop on the beach. My wife had a confirmed level with show jumping and aerobatics experience. The horses necessarily wanted to go to the beach. At 50 not riding regularly as before, my wife was a bit scared, Guide Mathilde reacted very well and placed it right behind her allowing everyone to gallop safely. I would point out that all climbed regularly.
We loved it again. Horses are well treated and respond well

It’s a shame that this place, which was a paradise for horses and riders, has been transformed into a tourist factory. The horses are no longer treated with respect and go on walks, even in the heat.
Departures with 50 riders are frequent, without adequate organization. The equipment is not clean and the attendants who are often overwhelmed do not have the time to properly check the good condition of the horses.
Prices have increased significantly. This is all very sad!!!

N.a.v. I was a bit afraid after reading the reviews that the advanced ride would be useless because of the young horses. But it was really great. Lady spoke good English. Horse taken from the pasture, but a bit of a walk. Saddle and brush yourself. You will then receive instructions that you must follow carefully because the horses are young and still very sensitive to aids. But if you stick to that, they listen perfectly. I never felt unsafe for a moment. I had Lady, who was very calm and rarely startled. Lovely gallop across the beautiful beach, seeing goats and wild boars along the way.
Highly recommended if you can drive well.

Pretty horses, a magnificent setting but an organization that needs to be reviewed. Composing a ride with young horses, all less than three years old, is incomprehensible and absolutely not prudent. We should have at least used experienced horses. Some had only been broke for a few months. Result 3 falls and a guide who said several times that we were “stressing” her… unprofessional attitude. And above all not very reassuring. A ride for experienced riders does not mean that 8 horses under three years old are appropriate. Too bad because the conditions were really nice but a bad experience.

1h30 ride for riders from gallop level 3: 3 falls during the ride so the gallop on the beach could not be done!
The poor horses had nothing to do with it, we didn't understand why they were feverish during the preparation, jumped at the brush or a slightly loud noise, had difficulty staying attached, their girth passage was in a deplorable state of dirt impossible to clean, their feet which are never cleaned.
We learned after the ride insistently that all the horses in the group were 3 years old and had just been broken 3 months earlier, which explains the situation but does not justify the guides and organizers putting the riders in danger. for a tourist stroll.

Rider accompanied by my man who had never ridden, we booked a “discovery” ride.
Despite the beginner level, I was able to really enjoy the ride because it is not classic riding but western riding, without bits, which gives different sensations.
The horses know each other and are "classified" by affinity during the ride for good general harmony.
Two short trots were done with the agreement of the 8 participants.
My companion also appreciated this baptism which seemed completely accessible to him.
Preparing the horses is a bit quick when you don't know what you're doing, but you shouldn't hesitate to ask for help.
The environment is very beautiful, total immersion in nature, we saw wild boars and wild mouflons a few meters away.
We also had some explanations about the region from our guide Coralie.
Special thanks to Inès, in training, for her availability and kindness.

We chose this activity as a family (6 people) for my niece's 18th birthday. We were all beginners. Two people joined our group, who were not beginners. First of all, I wonder why the groups are not better distributed because the experienced people who find themselves with beginners must be frustrated.
We had never sealed a horse in our lives, we were brought together in several groups to give us quick explanations and then we were left to fend for ourselves. The attendant quickly comes to check if everything is properly strapped. I hadn't finished, so she finished for me since I obviously wasn't going fast enough for her liking. Only after she indicated that everything was in order, I noticed that the strap on the left side was only attached on one side!
A zero point for safety.
We are given instructions in a hurry that we cannot assimilate all of them at once and we get bullied all the time.
My nephew, who was a little afraid of the horse, was yelled at because he wasn't walking in front of the horse but next to it. He heard himself shouting, “If you’re scared, go ride a bike instead.”
A zero point for pedagogy.
On the way back, my sister-in-law's horse was distracted by other groups. He didn't keep up with the rest of the group and my sister-in-law couldn't master him. When he noticed that the other horses were no longer in front, he galloped towards a building. My sister-in-law hit her head on a jail roof, saved by her riding helmet. There the same instructor who had yelled at my nephew started yelling at my sister-in-law... of course it was all his fault!! He ordered her to get off the horse without being given any explanation on how to get off. She then took a blower again because she didn't do it properly. Yes dear sir, this is not innate!!!
Our guide did not even realize that she had left 2 people behind when we arrived at our destination. We wonder what percentage of loss is acceptable in their eyes??
The walk was nevertheless very pleasant, in the middle of a magnificent landscape but a little spoiled by this feeling of being in a money factory.
We were unlucky enough to come across instructors/guides who seemed bored with having to deal with beginners. During the walk, we came across another group and the two instructors exchanged a few words and our instructor told her that she was doing a "discovery" walk (with beginners) and the other replied "good luck" on a disdainful tone.
I don't want to generalize because there seemed to us to be much more pleasant and patient instructors, but if you can't stand beginners, do something else to earn your living, or only open your equestrian space to beginners. people with an acceptable level in your eyes.
The main thing ultimately is that my niece was happy with this surprise for her birthday and that she has good memories of it, hence the 2 stars that I gave you.
