Arrived very early on a Saturday morning, 10.05 and was definitely the right choice - would highly advise anyone to do the same. This meant there was only 10-15 cars parked up maximum. When we left at 11.50-ish, there was probably about 75.
Easy process into the park and clear map - kept my 2 year old entertained and we didn't even go to the indoor play area or park, but it certainly looked good. Didn't need to use the toilets so can't comment on those.
Animals seemed to have good areas and spaces, were actively being cared for as we went round. Surprising to find it next to a local railway station that is active but other than one owl being woken up, didn't seem to matter.
Lovely gift shop actually, with really decent prices for many things. It's a small scale wildlife park that is very well done.

Family trip to zoo - very cute. Definitely can make a day of it. Can get close to animals which is great for smaller children to interact.
Such a shame the facilities are dreadful. We arrived at 10am, opening, on a Saturday morning and the toilets were filthy. Goes without saying, they got worse as day went on and the canteen was extremely slow and under manned for clearing away and serving. Its an expensive visit and should be better.

Shepreth Willdlife Park is a really wonderful park, with so many fantastic beautiful animals and creatures to see from owls all the way to rabbits. The park is clean and tidy and staff are so friendly and welcoming to everyone. I highly recommend visiting this park if your able to get chance, also they have red pandas 🐼 which are just adorable 😊. I took my 10 year old nephew for the day and he loved walking around and seeing the animals, the advantage of Shepreth is that it’s not too big so it’s easy to pretty much see all the animals in the time your visiting! I’d say three hours is plenty of time. They even have seating at various locations within the park to accommodate people who want to sit down and eat! There’s a fantastic little cafe which has a soft play centre inside. There is also an outdoor children’s play area. Very useful if the children need to get rid of any extra energy after lunch 🤣 . The work the staff are doing at Shepreth is so amazing and wonderful, I want to thank everyone who works there, your all incredible and you all work very hard 😊👏🏻
You can get here by train. If you get off at Shepreth, leave the station and cross over the level Crossing and walk down the road and there’s signs all over, so it’s extremely hard to miss!

I went to Shepreth with my daughter and grandchildren for a birthday treat. As it was half term as you can imagine it was quite busy. The animals all look well cared for …there are keeper talks and feeding etc throughout the day. As it’s not too big it’s easy to walk around. There are various play areas outside and soft play inside which was good fun for the children. There are lots of picnic benches around. We chose to eat in the cafe …around half hour wait…however the food was hot and tasty. My one little moan was the lack of toilets and cleanliness. The parks right next to the railway station which is handy if you didn’t want to drive or make an extra treat for the children! Also little gift shop. I had a really good day 😊

Great place to visit for a few hours. Varied animal life, largely well laid out and animals well looked after.
Catering facilities and toilets leave a lot to be desired. Very basic and slow. Improvements in this area would give it a 5 out of 5.

The park was very well kept and the animals all looked healthy and well cared for. Takes about 90 to do it justice, looks small but is full of good surprises - red pandas (one of the enclosures without a cage), lemurs on their own island, meerkats being very busy in their big sandpit, the wonderful capybaras, prairie dogs that have dug holes all over the park and go where they want. Best surprise was the bats in the nocturnal zone. I wont spoil the surprise but it takes the 'no cage' approach to new heights!
Very young kid oriented with a play zone and so on and cafe (that we didnt get round to) but plenty for non-kids. Very helpful staff too.

We came along to Sheprith to feed the otters (Part of our Son’s 15th birthday present). It was a long drive for us and on a very wet and windy day… but so worth it! It’s a small site but packs a lot in with great information about the animals, the threats they and their habitats face, amazing staff and the opportunity for visitors to get quite up-close to lots of the collection (many of which are rescue’s and part of conservation programmes).
The bat walk-through is amazing (unless you are frightened of bats - in which case it would be your worst nightmare) and all the animals appear extremely well cared for with their enclosures carefully thought out. The Otter experience itself was fab. Liz, our host was friendly and welcoming, gave clear instruction and did a brilliant job of providing us with lots of information about the Otters and their natural habitats, as well as the stories of the individuals at the park. The Red pandas are not to be missed - like the other animal residents here, friendly and curious to see new humans. Thank you Sheprith (& Liz) for a lovely day out - we will be back!

This zoo really was a pleasure to visit and exceeded our expectations. We had a lovely day here just taking our time wandering around.
I think we were fortunate in that we saw so many happy animals out and about, the otters were a joy and the whole family were playing when we saw them. The Wolves were playing (chasing a bird) as well, the Tigers were chilling out in the sunshine, and the other animals were all out and about. No animals were forced out they could go into their indoor areas if the wanted to.
We stayed and listened to one of the talks which was really fun and interesting. We will be back to enjoy another day at this lovely little zoo.

This is my all-time favourite destination in the Cambridge area! There are a wide variety of animals, all of which are treated well: huge expanses of land to live on, dedicated toys and feeding rituals for enrichment, and an abundance of fresh food. Because of this, the animals are energized and interact with one another (and visitors; you will get pooped on by bats!). My favourite exhibits are the capybaras, otters, and pygmy marmosets. I feel very good supporting this wildlife park.
Daily talks from the keepers teach important and exciting bits of information about how the park is preserving the species and ways we can support their mission. All of the staff are very knowledgeable and excited to chat if you have questions.
There is a large play-area for children, a cafe, and an excellent gift shop. The grounds are completely accessible to people with disabilities and the staff are willing to help if any problems arise.
I will be returning with friends and family!

I would like to know if there are Cheetahs and Elephants at the zoo. I would also like to know if the Cheetahs are in cages or field. Thank you very much.

I would agree with other responses. We tend to go as a couple, with one of us being a keen photographer. We usually spend half a day there, getting there for lunch and are usually there until shortly before closing.
There's plenty of talks, and some attractions may capture your attention longer than others. An example would be walking through the bat tunnel. We've stood in there for a good 10-15 minutes before, whilst others seem to whizz past.

Hi, Would your Wildlife Park be suitable for 65 year olds or is it more child orientated.
I am thinking of visiting the Wildlife Park, early in March, as a Birthday Treat for my Partner who will be 65, and still mobile. We are both very keen photographers, do you think it would be suitable for us ? Regards Heather.

Hi,
Yes it should be fine there is a good path / route all round the park. Some of the animals including my favourites the red pandas and meerkats don't have cages around them which should be perfect to take pictures.
