Wow. We could not recommend Kingswood enough. Having just held our wedding here I have to say everything was perfect.
Liza was so helpful at every step, nothing was too much trouble and she worked so hard in the background but we hardly knew she was there.
As for the food, all our guests commented that it was the nicest food they had ever had at a wedding. It really tasted as good as it looked.
Thank you Liza, the Kylie was also a very welcome surprise !!!
It poured with rain the whole day, but it did not matter in the slightest.
Liza also arranged breakfast for all guests who stayed the night to meet the following day.
Honestly if you are looking for the perfect venue - you can stop looking !!

Great buffet choice for starters and desserts, mains not so much…beef or gammon…cold chicken it was then. Shame they don’t have a hot white meat option. Good area now they’ve had a refurb as it’s mostly all on one level, although the steep slope for wheelchairs was interesting!

Stayed here for a wedding held at the venue. Fantastic room with an enormous comfy bed! Bar prices were reasonable. Breakfast was good. Great wedding venue!

Great Sunday lunch in every respect!
Terrific selection of food, attentive and helpful staff, nice location and a very good atmosphere.
Went here for my dear Mother's 90th birthday lunch with all the family from 3 months to 90yrs! and had a wonderful, memorable time!

The hotel room is modern, well equipped and clean and suited our needs for an overnight stay. I found that the duvets supplied are too small and fall off many times in the night. The TV had a malfunctioning connection fault, the bedside reading light was intermittent and the safe was closed and locked when we arrived. A more thorough check on all the rooms facilities is required in addition to the general cleaning regime. However, a very good location for golf and social events.

Awful start to finish
Utterly terrible experience. Arrived after an 18 hour day, on the road since 4am and told despite my booking confirmation that they didn't have my reservation. This resulted in a 20min hold with my travel management company who discovered that I was booked they had made an error. Eventually was given a room after a good 30 minutes of messing around.
Asked for a table for dinner, no problem I am told. Turns out it's bar food only in the week as the restaurant is only open Friday and Saturday night. Bar food is 15 quid for a burger 5 for chips and desperately poor form for a venue that charge what they do.
Made do with a takeaway from a local pub on deliveroo.
Wouldn't stay again, very very disappointing for the promise from the website.

Cannot fault the staff. We arrived late and had to call the night porter via the phone on the front desk. He arrived promptly, and had us checked in within minutes. Room was spacious, bed was VERY comfortable, and the shower was AMAZING!! Breakfast was lovely, arrived relatively quickly, and my eggs were cooked to perfection.
Overall, a lovely night in a lovely location. Will definitely stay again!!

Stayed two nights whilst visiting in the area. Have used The Lodge previously.
Accommodation is excellent at a good price. Food is available all day in the Club House with a reasonable menu. The Staff were very helpful and clearly the whole complex is well run and maintained. Will certainly be back as needs must.
Despite recent weather the golf course looked infine shape.

The room was clean and very stylish in black and silver and bottled water was supplied. The shower in the bathroom was large with an enormous shower head
The buffet breakfast was hot and plentiful. I would certainly recommend it.

My daughter is getting married at Kingswood next year. One thing I forgot to check was the bar prices so we can decide how much we should put over the bar. Are the drinks very pricey?

We thought they were standard pricing. I don't drink alcohol but my husband had a glass of wine (the first glass was included in the deal done by the ar club). He didn't think it was excessive. It is such a nice place and we think that the food is better than any of the other local golf clubs.
