‪The twin temple are worth a visit!‬

‪If you are here, do visit this temple. A site supposedly maintained by the ASI, it has been neglected for long. Also, take a map to the temple, as the temple is well remotely placed and you might have problems in finding your way to the temple.‬

‪Hoysala era temples in a state of negligence‬

‪The twin temples of Mallikarjuna & Ramesvara at Kalasi is an ASI maintained site but is in a state of negligence. There was not even a single person in the temple complex. The compound of the temples was not maintained unlike other ASI maintained sites. The temples are beautiful with the intricate carvings, lathe finished pillars and Nandi idols, typical to other Hoysala era temples. There are no signboards to the temple from Sagara town. The location in google maps is accurate.‬
