I did a dive license at DPM Dive Nusa Penida last week. With Audrey as my instructor at my side, it was incredible fun. Really 100% recommended. Audrey is a dream diving instructor. I felt safe by her side in any situation. Before the first dive the contents were explained to us transparently and competently so I felt perfectly prepared for the first dive. The dives were so much fun, so I am thinking about going back to Nusa penida from Bali to decorate my last days on my Indonesia trip with some cool dives.

Deception about “goods”!
Before coming to Penida I searched on the internet for a diving club where we speak French by typing “diving in French Penida”
I came across the dpm site with a catch boasting that you dive in small groups of up to 4 divers plus the DM (for that matter true)
I register and Julien asks me if it bothers me to dive with a non-Francophone DM which I answer not to be disturbing (the site announces 3 Francophone DMs, see attached captures, there is only one: him)
The day of the dive I come to the center in the morning where my DM gives me a wet suit then we debrief in English as bad as mine and being very anxious about the fact that at the crystal bay dive currents could take us to 60 m and that we should not panic in case of problems (sic)
I ask Julien what it means he answers me quickly visibly in a hurry
After a trip of 1 hour to manta point while many other boats go there in half an hour we dive then do the crystal rock dive without any particular concern
For the next dive scheduled 2 days later I send a whatsapp to Julien at 6pm asking him what time I should be present for the afternoon dive brief stating that I would like him to debrief me in French before the dive
No response
I send back a whatsapp at 21:15 asking if it had received my message
No response
The next morning or later for that matter still no answer
I find this behavior frankly unsympathetic and unprofessional
So if you want to dive with a francophone DM or MINIMA have a debrief in French
Do not go to dpm

Well we did 2 dives, we wanted to see the famous sunfish and blankets, and no trace of the mola mola mola and we saw a baby blanket on the blanket point, I would rate it as the diver, motor point... Either take care of it or here is not a blanket left in a short time, there could be 150 divers and 20 boats, 20 maracas ringing....
The truth is that if you have been diving for some time it will not surprise you at all, I in 8 years and more than 350 dives have seen places with more blankets and not so overexploited that this
The fault is obviously not the dive center since the animals are or are not.... We are the ones who take them away from their surroundings.
Regarding the fairly short dives 40 and 41 min, both with 100 bar in the boat .... They tell you that they have to dive in the afternoon but good if I pay 100€ for two dives, that is not my problem for something is the nitrox or to do other planning (from my selfish point of view that I pay for dives)
The center really is very clean, well organized and the material in good condition.
We rely on Komodo for our dives in Indonesia!!!

First class dive shop on Nusa Penida, Bali. Went on the morning fun dive to Manta Pt & Crystal Bay. Reza is an excellent team leader who makes sure that safety comes first, but fun is on the agenda as well. The DPM boat makes arrival on site an efficient and memorable experience. The equipment was first rate and everything went smoothly on the day of the dive. DPM has to be one of the best dive operations on Penida and in the entire South of Bali.

It was a fantastic diving journey with DPM Diving. I had communication with several diving center but DPM made me feel the most welcomed and trustful one after I asked so many questions. And the most important was they showed me a lot of patience without I confirmed anything with them.
I m happy I made the right choice to go with them for my very 1st diving experience. The entire session from theory to pool practice to the ocean, I felt secure and safe with my instructor Bagia, he also made a very clear explanation for every details you need to know for the basic diving.
Thanks to DPM brought me such nice memories during this trip in Bali/Penida.

Look no further, DPM is perfect! Had two amazing dives with them today! They helped me organize my trip & stay in Nusa Perida and offer me 5+ stars service from the moment I got in touch with them. Dives were just bonus with lots of Mantas, turtles, box fish, reef shark just to name a few with a great group of happy divers and amazing guide. Thank you for the experience!

The contact on WhatsApp was very helpful with good advises. After booking, I was there only for the swiming pool session. The instructor was very kind, but I couldn't understand his english. It was also noisy with music coming from à café in the same place, which made it more difficult to listen and understand the explanations. The équipement didn't look so clean. So I cancelled and left the deposit.

The facilities are very good and very complete. The instructor was very attentive to the entire group during the immersion.
One detail to keep in mind: they sell a lot about the possibility of seeing blankets, but it is really complicated and can generate expectations where there are none. In fact they cannot guarantee seeing them. They would have to promote other diving concepts or other areas more.

hello Richard. yes we are open. you can enter in INDONESIA with a bussines visa, but you Will have to do 5 days quarantain in jakarta befor enter to Bali.

Nusa Penida es muy buen lugar para hacer el curso Open Water. Aqui aprenderas a bucear en corrientes y con una vida marina espectacular. Los arrecifes estan llenos de biodiversiad si olvidar las manta rayas y mola mola.

Hello!!! With that age we only can take your daughter on the swimming pool. The minimum age to dive in the ocean is 9 years old and no deeper than 3 meters.

You don't really need to be certificate as a diver to have a good experience and dive with manta ray,
The only think you will need to do to be aviable to dive is do a try dive (bateme de Plonger)
