The Great Escape is the only activity of its kind in Weligama and perhaps in the area. I did not expect much but was very pleasantly surprised. It is not run by Sri Lankans but by Frederic who was our host.
Upon entering the premises on the third floor, suddenly you find yourself in a modern a well maintained interior which is not common in Sri Lanka.
We played the Prison escape game but unfortunately did not finish the game in time. Frederic was kind to show us the rest of the puzzles and their solutions. On the website it says 4/5 difficult and it definitely was. We found it very difficult and I would recommend it for more experienced players and / or bigger teams (up to 6 persons). That way you will have more people searching and thinking about possible options.
This escape game is certainly up to European standards even though it was not packed with technology and had a lot of key locks and combination locks. I can definitely recommend this as a cool activity in Weligama.

This is absolutely amazing! It was completely unexpected to find an quest room on the island, and such a cool one at that. Realistic scenery, sound, atmosphere and surroundings completely immerses you in the adventure.
All the details are thought out to the smallest detail, it’s truly a complete immersion! We chose “Prison Escape” and were very close to the goal, we were just a little away from victory... we will definitely return to win the quest about the Museum!
In my opinion, The Great Escape is one of the best entertainment in the south of the island. I recommend it to EVERYONE - fans of quests and those who want to have a really cool time with a group of people. And for those who are in Weligama and nearby, this is a must have 🤘

This place is awesome! We played the Museum Heist & we almost escaped! It was challenging, fun, thrilling & the staff was so helpful when we needed clues. Definitely doing the Prison Break which I believe breathtaking.
