Nos dimos un buen paseo por el mar y la oportunidad de sacar buenas fotos delante de la Opera House, Ballenas no vimos ninguna, mala suerte. Vimos unos cuantos delfines y después de un par de horas volvimos al muelle. Al no ver ninguna ballena nos dieron tickets para intentarlo otro dia. Muy bien!

Booked a whale watching tour for 29 August 2019, during supposedly the peak of whale watching season. Even though it was raining, with high-winds, the boat took off and was forced to come back because of the gale force winds and rough seas. Of course, we were not able to see any whales and the trip was very rough.
While we were at sea all subsequent tours for this company and other companies (for all types of cruises) were canceled for the day. We were told we had a voucher to come back and board free of charge. Unfortunately, because I was leaving the following day to go back to Europe, I spoke both to the staff on board and on the pier regarding my situation. They advised that I write to the company and explain my case. I was assured, that due to the extenuating circumstances about the weather and the fact that I was leaving permanently the following day, I would be issued a refund. I wrote to the company, enclosing copies of my airline tickets, for the following day, and the first response after 18 days was ... to close my ticket without even replying to me!
I sent another email, again with copies of my tickets to show them that I would not be coming back to Australia and that I was a permanent resident in a foreign country and this time, after 14 days, I received a response that they were forwarding my ticket to corporate.
Finally, after 25 days, I get the following response: “Unfortunately your request has been rejected, as per booking condition, we are unable to refund for any return voucher. You can keep your return voucher for the next season.”
So basically, the bottom line is, even though the company canceled all the trips for that day because of the weather conditions ( which were bad to begin with) and we were forced to come back because of those same weather conditions, there is no refund!
Buyer beware! Be very careful! I would not use them again! This was not an issue of not seeing any whales… it was an issue that there was a warning for all boats to remain tied down. A full refund should have been issued!

Did a whale watching tour with Sydney whale watching twice during my trip is Sydney because it is that good. The first trip was the 2hr adventure boat and the second trip was the 3hr cruise. Able to see whales for both trips including whales breaching on both trip. The crew were really friendly as well with loads of explanation to learn more on the whales. For those who prefer a bit more speed and wind blowing action, go for the adventure cruise!

My wife and I travelled with them again today and the team were fantastic. The conditions were a little lumpy but the vessel was fine and Doug the skipper was great at making as comfortable as possible for everyone. The whales were plentiful and lots of common dolphins about too. Another great treat is the bird life. Loved seeing albatross. This company with it’s passionate crew and regular whale loving passengers is a great choice if you are in Sydney

We were only 3 couples and the captain in a small open boat. It was tough waters and not for the faint hearted. Our captain grew up on one of the islands and was very knowledgeable and passionate about the orcas. We saw many, many whales, both resident and transient and were close enough to observe their behaviour, which the captain explained. There were a lot of bigger boats from Vancouver. Victoria and Washington and we could see them all crowded on the sides. We didn't have that problem. On the way back we saw a pod of resident whales and the captain asked if we would mind going back a little late so we could look closer at these whales.

Для тех, кто планирует свое незабываемое путшествие на континент, возьмите на заметку с мая по октябрь в океане по побережью от МЕльбурна до Сиднея плавают горбатые киты, далее они уходят в Доминикану. Но если у вас будет шанс -обязательно им воспользуйтесь. Тур можно купить на набережной Сиднея, недалеко от оперы. Я покупала самый дешевый- 75 на одного, правда, был обещан чай и звуки китов. Когда я попросила свой чай, то персонал сказал, что чай можно будет взять только тогда, когда мы причалим назад в порт. Я была разочарована. Готовьтесь к тому, что в заливе будет большая качка. Мне повезло с трехпалубной яхтой. Наверху лучше всего видно, но обязательно держитесь за поручни и одевайтесь тепло, ветер и брызги обеспечены. Но если замерзните, всегда можно спуститься на нижнюю палубу и смотреть из-за стекла. По ходу пьесы рассказывают о китах и их повадаках. Мы долго наблюдали за двумя китами на расстоянии, но снимки и видео, которое я сделала, меня устроили. Эта компания делает 2 тура в день и обещает, что если вы не увидели китов на совей первой поездке, то на следующую поедете бесплатно. Это тоже немаловажно, ведь конечно не всегда и не всем удается увидеть китов. Это не зоопарк.

We took the 3 hour trip. The commentary was good and we saw 2 small pods of whales. The skipper was determined we should see a second pod and looked hard and long to find them for us.
The boat was clean , easy to access and the trip was worth the money. We loved it.

Getting great Sydney weather made this outing amazing! Though it took a while to see whales, it was worth it. Being on a good sized boat with staff informing us which direction to look out to was very helpful. At $79 for 3 hrs being in open water isn’t bad with the sightseeing.
Free tea/coffees and biscuits are available on board, and beers are also available to purchase at the bar.
Circular Quay wharf is super easy to get to as well with the train station right next to it.

A bit of difficulty finding them - the staff kept us up to date with their efforts. We had two humpbacks playing around the boat for 30mins or so. Amazing.

My husband and I had a great morning on a whale watching boat. We sat on the top deck and enjoyed the picturesque Sydney Harbour. Once through the heads, we were on the lookout for whales. Even though August is between migratory patterns, 3 whales put a show on for us. One was right in front of us. With a fast boat, we were able to quickly get into position to look for whales. Can’t wait to go again.
