Please find comfort in knowing that our koala hold experience is strictly monitored and regulated to ensure the health, welfare and happiness of our koalas at all times. Of our 100 koalas, only a small group are handled for guest experiences, as they are of the right temperament and enjoy interacting with our staff and guests. Each koala is only handled for a maximum of 30 minutes a day (or less if they so choose) and are not handled more than three days in a row. Each of our photo sessions is limited to just 15 guests, with limited daily capacities. Our koalas’ happiness and comfort are always priority. You will be pleased to know that all our exhibits are audited regularly to ensure they meet a very high set of standards set by the Zoo and Aquarium Association (ZAA).
