‪كنا محظوظين بما فيه الكفاية للحصول على تذاكر لهذا عبر Brisbane Open House. كان الأشخاص الذين تعاملنا معهم عبر البريد الإلكتروني ، ثم في اليوم ، ودودون ومتعاونون للغاية. الجولة كانت رائعة - حقا مثيرة للاهتمام لسماع بعض التاريخ والذهاب إلى الداخل.‬

‪사실상 의미가 없는 건물이다.
작은 잔디밭의 기둥이라고 생각하면 된다. 찾아와야 할 이유는 없다. 근처의 작은 공원을 방문했다가 한번쯤 구경하면 적당하다‬

‪The Sails are missing‬

‪After visiting St Johns Cathedral I'd asked for directions to the windmill and was told it was in Wickham Terrace. Silly me, I'm looking for the sails similar to what I'd seen in the Nederlands or like on the Old Windmill in South Perth. Failing to sight anything I'd ventured elsewhere. Days later, after visiting Chinatown, out taxi driver slowed and pointed out the building. The structure is similar to those previously seen but there is an observation deck on top of this building. It was constructed between 1824 & 1828 by convict labour and is the oldest surviving from this era in the State. It seems that a treadmill was installed at the time and when there was little or no wind, convicts were used to operate it and also serve out punishment. Not sure if its open to the public.‬

‪It's Queensland's oldest surviving structure, a pleasantly shaped windmill, with a bit of interesting info on a plaque.‬

‪I am posting this poor review to deter people from wasting their time.the pictures are exactly all you can see. It is a derelict windmill with a plaque. I'm not sure why all the positive reviews are here‬

‪Windmill that isn’t‬

‪Old and now defunct windmill. Not an attraction or anything to see really. Only the main “post” or so of the mill left.‬

‪Brisbane Windmill tour‬

‪We were fortunate enough to get tickets to this through Brisbane Open House. The people we dealt with via email and then on the day were so friendly and accommodating. The tour was wonderful - really interesting to hear some of the history and go inside.‬

‪It supposed to be a museum but it was closed when we were there and we were near by for 3 days. Just a small park with a tower to me.‬

‪A unique old building‬

‪Quite an historic landmark but had little idea it was here, had walked nearby many times without stopping to look. It's history as Brisbane's oldest building makes it special.
Although it is a steep climb from the bottom, this is not the only access to it.
Easy to see if you are on Wickham Terrace, it is very distinctive , close to the Mantra and Best Western.
Worth a stop to read its history.‬
