Delightful experience. The owner took time explaining how opals are rated and priced. He helped me find exactly what I wanted at a price I could afford. There are so many opal shops that choosing where to go was challenging. Fortunately reviews on TripAdvisor guided me to this spot. Highly recommend you check this out.

This amazing tiny store is situated on the Mall's edge. It is jam-packed with interesting objects and stunning stones.

Tim at Unique Opal Mine is extremely professional and so easy to deal with.
We had an insurance claim for a damaged engagement ring and he helped us put significantly! His communication was fantastic!
100% recommend for all Opal work!

This is a fabulous little shop located on the edge of the Mall. It is crammed packed with beautiful stones and interesting pieces. The staff were patient and helpful as we selected a stone. Not nearly as expensive as I was expecting.

Opals are said to be Australia's national gemstone. They come in a variety of colours, depending on where they are mined. The mines are all in areas which are very hot and far from civilisation, instead of visiting the Outback, it's worthwhile having a look at the display of these beautiful gemstones at the Unique Opal Mine.

Opals are a beautiful stone, the white opals are said to be unique to Australia. My mother bought a multi-coloured opal here for my 21st birthday, years ago. I still treasure it.

I bought an opal ring in Coober Pedy but it was too big so I had to get it resized. (Didn't have enough time in Coober Pedy to get it done there.) Tried getting this done in some of the bigger jewellers in Adelaide but was told that it was too risky - they might damage the opal because of how the opal was set, the design of the ring and because it needed to go down 6 sizes (😅). Steven had a look at it, said that there was a chance it might get damaged but that he could do it. And he did!! No damage at all!! I was also short in time as I was just passing through Adelaide really, but he got it done before I needed to leave, even though he was very busy! Very easy to talk to, straightforward and gets the job done! Highly recommend!! I've already recommended this shop to one of my friends who is thinking of getting an opal ring for her engagement ring! Thank you, Steven and Tim!

A free museum in the basement, beautiful opals and varied forms for all prices. As a student, I didn't think I would find an opal at such a good price for me. But that was not all, the staff was so helpful, honest and fiendly!
Add to this patient, because they even let me watch all their triplets and advised me for at least 20 minutes to make sure I picked only the best ones. One triplet was not meant to be in the package, I should have been more expensive, but they let me have it for the same price as the others!
I should have left a comment a long time ago to tell all of you about the great experience I lived at this shop. This remains as one of the best memories I have about my shopping in Australia.

By far the highest quality opal in Australia maybe the world. You will find some of the rarest opals there. A collector's paradise.
