Highlight is the rose garden but check out the cafe near the lake if you can. Well worth a visit and a great place to just relax while taking in the scenery.

Excellent gardens within walking distance of the CBD & Rundle Mall. We spent 1-2 hours wandering around. There are some very old plants & trees there, so the gardens are very mature and well established.

A well designed area with large spaces to sit and enjoy the garden area. Bring a picnic or stop at the Cafe... Lovely variety of plants to wander around and see for free.

Beautiful gardens. Can’t believe I didn’t take my camera. I loved the HUGE Lilly pads and their gorgeous pink water flowers… the cacti and succulent garden was great also. Lots of garden glass houses scattered around. Unfortunately, pressed for time so I didn’t see all that I wanted. But definitely worth a visit

Some smallish but lovely gardens. Worth a trip. The Huge lillies were awesome and happily in flower.

Loved this place.
Gorgeous surroundings and so much to see.
The plants and flowers are spectacular. Lots of different paths to take and every view is beautiful.
Toilet and refreshment facilities available.
Worth a visit and it's free entry.

Caught the free tram up North Tce to one of the entry gates and enjoyed a few hours in the beautiful gardens.
Lucky to see their rare water lily out and saw lotus flowers and so many gorgeous roses in flower. Well worth the visit.

We hadn't intended to visit, but it was on our way back into the city from visiting the National Wine Centre. What a lovely walk it was, mid morning, dew still on the grass in spots. the palm house, the water lilies, the lotus flowers, and just the lovely walks. On a warm day you could take your lunch and just lie in the shade on the grass.

It really depends where you are starting from, but once in Adelaide center, it's easy to get there on foot

Nearest pool would be Adelaide Aquatic Centre, North Adelaide. There is lots of water at The Botanic gardens, but no swimming. Although I have seen a You Tube of people surfing in the creeks mid winter!
