I’m a local who hadn’t had the chance to visit the centre before, but booked in and took my international guest for the tour. We both found Andrew our guide very informative and knowledgeable, taught us a thing or two and made the hour tour very interesting. It was well worth the visit for the tour. We then decided to have the Feed Me lunch with wine pairings at the restaurant. We sat outside overlooking the Botanic Gardens and enjoyed a top notch meal while Andrew matched wines to each course based on our individual taste and flavour profile of the meal. We had an amazing tour and lunch, excellent value for money, I totally recommend it.

Monday morning tour from Andrew explaining the Australian wine story in a beautifully designed building. Brilliant way to conclude our Aussie wine road trip. Really interesting would highly recommend

Anybody who has an interest in wine making and consumption of same, should pay a visit to this centre. The tour was excellent only surpassed by the samples of wines I was given after the tour. I arrived early for the tour so had a lovely coffee and sandwich in the cafe. Very good menu to sample. This centre is located beside the Botanical Gardens so you get to experience two excellent locations without having to travel far.

Small group of six enjoyed an informative introduction to South Australian wines. The sommelier was well inforned and our group had interesting discussions during the sampling and snacking.

Do not go here. The $15 tour is a rip off as the "sommelier" doesn't even know the basics of Australian wine history and talks way too much about the building. They didn't enhance the exhibits but rather just read what you would read on your own. The tasting was a further waist of time and money. The reds were undrinkable and white was fine, but the tasting notes did not reflect the wines at all. I want ALL my money back!

The "sommelier" knew very little about the history of the centre or wine in Australia and got much of it wrong. Instead of enhancing the lame exhibits he just basically read the lame exhibits and missed half of it. For $15 I expected something more. The tasting only had one good wine the other 2 were undrinkable and for $25 a rip off. You did not even get a glass for $25 and you could easily buy a very nice bottle for that from a bar with a bottle licence.
It is even more shameful that the SA taxpayers paid for this and UniAdelaide runs it. Shockingly bad, over prices, and inane

Great experience!
The tour lasted approximately an hour, the guide answered all of the questions and was very polite.
The National Wine Centre is a beautifully designed building, inspired by the materials used in wineries.
Recommended for wine lovers :)

On the edge of the Botanic Park this place is a must do if you love wine. Excellent selection of wines to taste and buy if you want.Tour of the place available. Brilliant way to improve your knowledge of wine.

The presentation was informative and interesting and a great place to start if you know very little about the wine industry in Australia.

Great late morning/lunchtime activity. The tour was OK, and I learnt a couple of new things about Aussie wines. The tasting was very good; 4 wines presented by someone who knew what she was talking about. Then we acquired an enomatic card. Access to taste 120 different wines. I chose larger portions to accompany lunch which was excellent. Highly recommended.
