Ours was a truly memorable day to the beautiful Coal River Valley and beyond to celebrate a milestone birthday. The scenery was magical, the wine selections quite superb and the simple lunch of local produce at Puddleduck was scrumptious.
Derwent Estate wines drew the short straw for being last on the tour, but thoroughly enjoyed by all. If only there'd been more time.
Thank you Guarin who made the booking process seamless and to our tour guide Jack who escorted our unruly bunch with professionalism, patience and a good sense of humour. Absolutely wonderful! Would definitely highly recommend this tour.

Great day! Lovely Coal Valley wineries, stunning views, beautiful wines, scrumptious lunch, knowledgeable and welcoming hosts at all the wineries. Thank you to our amazing guide, who added so much information about the region and grape growing conditions. Highly recommend! Thank you for such an enjoyable day (and for the laughs along the way).

My friend and I have enjoyed a wonderful day around the Coal River Valley Wine region with our host and driver Carmel. Wineries on the agenda included Frogmore, Coal Valley Vineyard, Pooley's, Riversdale for an amazing lunch and Puddleduck. A cheese tasting was also included. Carmel even managed a complimentary photo shoot, one of her many skills!. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. A small group on a very comfortable bus, fantastic! Thank you Carmel for an amazing day!

Absolutely the best wine tour we’ve done. Carmel our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable and took us to some of the best wineries and estates in the coal river region where the hosts were fabulous and welcoming. A great group of fellow travellers and a fun atmosphere made for the perfect day.

We actually did the Coal Valley Wine Tour and it was great. 4 wineries and a cheesery. Plus a stop at the Richmond Bridge for some history. Lunch was included at Riversdale - it was delicious, and great venue for lunch. Highlight of the day for us was definitely Barry at Craigow. What a story teller and knows his stuff about wine. Such an interesting man, sharing a bit about himself, the history of the area and the property. Our driver, Jack, is a local gent studying at uni, was very friendly and great local guide. Highly recommend Aging Barrel Wine Tours.

My wife and I joined the Coal Valley Wine Tour. The tour was definitely a highlight of our trip, not only to Tasmania but a highlight of our entire Australia vacation. Aged Barrel Tours is first class! I told Jack at the end of the tour that if I had to score up to 5 stars, I'd give a 6. We have traveled all over the world and have been on many wine tours. This was one of the best if not the best we have been on.
Jack was a fantastic tour guide. He was so professional, personable, knowledgeable and helpful. Jack is a top-notch guy there. We loved the tour and visiting the smaller boutique wineries. We know that Riversdale Estate is larger but the lunch and views there were amazing. The personable touch at Riversdale when each of the owners from Aged Barrel Tours and Puddleduck Winery joined us for wine tasting was extra special. We are definitely wine enthusiasts and were very impressed with the quality of the wine. To the point where we have wine being shipped to the USA. Jack was very helpful in helping coordinate the logistics.
We will recommend Aged Barrel Tours whenever and wherever we can. This was our first time to Tasmania and it can definitely be called "God's country". We hope to return in a couple of years and spend more time exploring this beautiful state. Thank you again for the experience and contributing to making our trip a memorable one!!

We had a great day in the coal river valley on our private wine tour for our honeymoon. Ageing Barrel tours really put together a great day with planning to our specific tastes and visiting multiple award winning wineries including one cellar door which is not readily open for tastings. They organised a beautiful lunch at Frogmore Creek winery. This was the best lunch we have ever had on a wine tour with amazing views. Our guide was extremely personable and knowledgeable. Highly recommended by us. By far the best wine tour we have done.

Had a wonderful day with Carmel on our wine tour. She was very friendly and made a bunch of strangers feel comfortable. Can definitely recommend this company.

We did the Wine Indulgence Private Tour which was an amazing experience. Guarin ensured we had a varied and opportunity to discover and enjoy the variety of wines throughout the region. Impossible to say what we thought was the best experience, as each winery in turn had its own specialty. Lunch at Frogmore Winey was outstanding and the view of the vineyard just superb. My husband would probably say the visit to Federation wines would be something pretty special. Not only good wines but as they are also chocolatiers creating specific chocolate to experience with a particular wine, resulting in an amazing experience.

Google them - You can then book through the website. Choose which tour and which date, etc. They were then brilliant at texting or calling to confirm the tour.
