I enjoyed a swim here today. Although there was a carnival, they had lanes in the dive pool. I wish the student entry price was lower.

This is a good place for a lap swim. They have done some renovations on the changing rooms which is welcome. Why are the concession entry prices so high? What happened to half price entry?

Doone Kennedy Hobart Aquatic Centre is a great place for a swim all year round. It's nice and warm there in the winter, the facilities are great, and they have just refurbished all the changing rooms - which were in need of a spruce-up, it's true.

I am back working in town so I have a fortnightly aquatic membership - I enjoy a lunchtime swim. I don't think it is quite a dirty as some reviewers think... but it can always be better - especially in the member change rooms.

I have never been to a dirtier aquatic centre in my life. Absolutely mortified. The scum lines were the worst I have ever seen. The lifeguard was too busy doing pool tests to even look up at the patrons and customer service staff were useless, once we were finally acknowledged and knew nothing about the merchandise they were selling. I debated even swimming and could only handle a few laps before feeling gross and leaving

This place is so dirty. The level of scum on the edges of the pool, bottoms of the pool that haven’t been cleaned are so obvious. It took the customer service 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged.

I enjoyed an afternoon swim here while in town for the day. They have made some improvements but the main change room is a bit run down. The student rate of $6.60 for a swim is a bit steep.

Although I live some 300 kms away, it is always great to be able to swim some laps in the Hobart Aquatic Centre as it is one of extremely few indoor 50 metre pool options available in Tasmania. Even the Launceston Aquatic Centre is generally only in 50 metre mode on Saturday mornings. With the rebuild of the 25 metre pool going on, the 50 metre pool was busier than normal when I was in Hobart recently so it was great to see the lifeguards encouraging patrons to use the lanes relevant to their ability and speed. Full marks also to all staff including the reception staff for their clear advice, friendliness, and hygiene alertness. On the negative side, the facility could be cleaner and the external ramp is still quite slippery on wet or icy days.

The pool are great, fantastic facilities that I would rate a 5 but it is SO filthy that I can’t give it more than a 3. Please clean it. The black ring of dirt around the water line and the filthy blocks and change rooms are letting it down

Visited this centre on a number of occasions over the last month. It’s disgusting. The 50 metre pool looks like the walls haven’t had a clean in ages. The small pool was evacuated because of feaces in it. The changes rooms are so run down and look like they’ve not had any maintenance in decades. The cafe is gross. Tables never wiped, floor dirty and never swept, chairs rusting. None of the lockers were working today when I came which meant there was no where to secure my belongings. It’s frankly an embarrassment to Hobart.

Why can't I get through on the phone, been holding for over 10 minutes, my husband was refused entry to my 10 yo waterpolo game because he had forgotten the scandalous 2 dollars that make parents pay just to take their kids there for the game, he had to let our 10 yo to go in on his own, I am absolutely disgusted, we have to go here every week, we could have brought the money later, although I am disgusted that we have to pay this every week, what a set of jobsworth losers.
