Emporium Melbourne is an up-market shopping center. Emporium Melbourne is in Lonsdale Street, near Swanston Street. Emporium was built around the former Myer Lonsdale Street store. No expense was spared when the site was rebuilt at a cost of $1.2 billion. Apart from the many fashion outlets, Emporium has a food court. The luxury stores include Coach. The International dumpling house at Emporium., Din Tai Fung, has a well-patronized restaurant

We were wandering around the city killing time... when we stepped into the Emporium looking for a bathroom... while I waited for my ex .. . I was quite mesmerised by the 70s vibe of the building. When he returned I commented that I was enjoying the air conditioning and we should spend some time here.
We walked through, we found a clothing store (Uniqlo) and he went shopping. It's interesting how he has always enjoyed clothing shopping whereas I have always considered it a task. He managed to find some really nice dress shorts in here.
It's worth spending time in here in Summer for the air-conditioning... and probably in Winter to avoid rain. :) It has an outstanding range of stores on offer.

Stumbled across this as we stayed across the road in the Mercure. Was open late, well air conditioned and great stores with something for everyone. Service staff in all stores we visited were friendly and helpful. Customer service was everywhere and the layout is spacious, Covid friendly with a full day of shopping completed in style and with pleasure. Many food outlets and coffee stops to rest as needed,

Lots of shops. Not a lot of range though, maybe one or two plus size stores in the whole complex but some stores had two locations on different floors. Hard to navigate if you get lost. Some good cafes. Myer seemed okay, not lots of plus size, but he beauty section was nice.

Calling Emporium a 'mall' is an insult. Emporium is a luxurious collection of over 200 high end fashion and retail outlets, with one of Australia's largest collections of original designer outlets. It's connected to Myer and David Jones. Emporium has a collection of enticing eateries, including Din Tai Fung, part of the world-renowned dumpling chain.

Not much of a shopper myself. Most of the shops don’t attract me except for some major sports apparels shops. From the malls I have walked through, think I am not that far from the mark. I think.
There’s also a bookshop by the name of Readings. Quite big.

Emporium is a new mid to upmarket shopping centre in the centre of Melbourne. It is connected to David Jones, Myer and Melbourne by a network of pedestrian walkways and tunnels. Emporium Melbourne boasts that it has the largest collection of Australian designer outlets in the nation. Emporium Melbourne is returning to life now that the Covid epidemic has receeded. Also, the well-known dumpling restaurant Din Tai Fung is represented in Emporium Melbourne, along with many other eateries.

Each time I come to the city I never fail to visit Emporium. Such a trendy and beautiful mall to enjoy one's shopping experience. I love that there are many choices of stores both upmarket and mid range which make it easier on the hip pocket. I would recommend to anyone who is a visitor of the city or even to those who haven't ventured in to have a look.

We visited this upmarket mall to dine at Din Tai Fung a Taiwanese Restaurant we first discovered in Malaysia and has long been a favourite of ours. The last time we visited The Emporium the wait was far too long so this time we came prepared and booked the restaurant in advance.
There are some lovely restaurants here as well as a comprehensive food court.
Shopping is mainly high end designer.
This mall is linked by a walkway to Myer.
